Player Review
84 - Headliners
Morgan Sanson is an unbelievably cheap card, with a lot of potential to become worth more. I use him on a newly created second account (1 month, infrequent play), in a 90k coins team. He is capable of dribbling with the ball and holding it for a good amount of time, therefore I play him as a box-to-box CM in a 4-4-2 formation, with standard Sissoko playing as a holding midfielder. It is important to have a faster holding midfielder as Sanson's mid/mid work-rates mean he might not come back on defence as fast as needed, although I found Sissoko capable of holding for the amount of time needed. I also use him in a 4-2-3-1 in the same squad, with both CDMs set to Stay Back While Attacking. He is defensively capable and strong, and performs like a bby RTTF Allan. He is capable of taking the ball straight back after being challenged, and is able to stay standing during challenges.
Reviews of stats:
- Pace
- Fast enough with an Anchor. Can make forward runs and also doesn't let attackers run past him
- Acceleration also feels good
- Shooting
- Shooting is use-able but not special
- If Sanson finds a good position inside the penalty area, he will score, but edge of the box shots or shots without enough space might be saved/off-target.
- Scores frequently for a CM in rivals (division 5)
- Passing
- Sanson never makes mistakes in passing, unless the player makes an error
- Good vision, sometimes passes for me if i mis-aim
- Dribbling
- Sanson's dribbling stats make him extremely capable of going forwards, being able to turn and control the ball means he can find space in the final third and pass to a striker.
- His composure and reactions have not noticeably caused any issues
- Defending
- Sanson is able to consistently tackle and come away with the ball, accurate and recovers quickly from mistimed or misplaced tackles
- Sanson frequently intercepts passes when played as a holding midfielder in 4-2-3-1
- Physical
- Sanson is strong with an anchor, and can recover quickly from a challenge and often win the ball straight back
- Rarely gets shoved off the ball
- Weak foot / Skills
- Sanson's 4*/4* combination makes him extremely useable in the final third, as he is capable of shooting with both feet (although nothing special), and has a good capability of dribbling past/around players, or into space.
Sanson is a very good card, with good potential to become higher rated. He performs like a lower-tier RTTF Allan, who I use on my main account in the same roles (box-to-box CM in 4-4-2, holding CDM in 4-2-3-1).
Buy him while he is cheap (<30k on PS4)
- Fast
- Strong
- Can dribble and shoot to an extent with both feet
- Huge potential to become special, maybe could be worth near 100k in the future
- Mid defensive work rate means he may not come back from attack as fast as expected
- Shooting is decent but not special, but that is to be expected from a <30k CM card
