Not that good tbh

Mertens is a player i enjoy seeing play on the field so when i put my coins together and sold ben yedder i decided to buy him. As a 90 rated headliner with high agility, shooting and pace stats i was looking forward to playing with him. Unfortunately it didn't go as planned. He felt very weird when turning and he can't hit close shots when the goal keeper comes out. His finesse is OKAY but it's easily compared to that of Mbappe's. His dribbling is okay because of the agility though when i use my skill moves he usually lost the ball and gets stuck in an animation for wayyyyy too long for him to get back on defense or attack. His pace feels very good in my opinion but he isn't worth 500-520k. It should be more like 450-470k. Mbappe is MUCH BETTER and is a lot faster due to his 96 sprint speed and acceleration. His finesse is GOD LIKE whilst mertens Finesse shot is mediocre. it is to take into consideration that i play elite 3. in recent weekend league i got (19-2) with Mbappe instead of Meretens. I lost the 2 games because Mertens couldn't finish after the AMAZING passes De bruyne made. I would say that he fits for division 8-7.

If i were to choose between Mbappe (base), CR7 (base) and Mertens (Headliner) i'd definitely choose CR7 but Mbappe if you're on a budget. Mbappe is also cheaper than Mertens plus 5 star skills and is MUCH better than Mertens

I was saving all my coins in the beginning of FIFA to buy this card as my main man next to first Kai Havertz and later the Havertz IF, however by the time I had those 280k, he rose alreay up to 340k and was extinct... Hard one...

Mertens can easily score when put in the correct position but if faced against any strong defenders he will struggle.He will be pushed off the ball 9/10 with the 1/10 being if you get a lucky bounce.
