Mesut Ozil Review.

Hi guys. So I saw the Ozil SBC and in need of an attacker for my squad as I've had gold Aubameyang since the start of FIFA, I needed to do it and it was a decent price. I ended up doing it mostly with untradeables, with only 50k spent. I used him with HUNTER chem style as a right ST in a 442 with get in behind instructions, and this card is amazing. He scores goals, get assists and somehow has 19 goals and 11 assists in only 11 games, although two were squad battles. I'm not sure if he can keep this up however he looks like an amazing card. There are some good arsenal cards this year, like Flashback and Shapeshifters Luiz, FFS Tierney, Player Moments Bellerin, as well as all the Aubameyang cards, as well as the endless premier league and german options, including FUT birthday Bellarabi (I might do a review on him depending on how many likes this gets), so he is easy to link as well, especially with the icon swaps being so good.

Pace. I've seen some people use sniper or engine on him and that may work as a central CAM, but as I striker I had to use Hunter and this gives him 96 acceleration and 92 sprint speed, which also makes up for his low agility and balance while dribbling. Despite his Medium/Low workrates, he still makes good runs in behind. This may be because he has 99 attacking positioning and he rarely misses when through on goal.

Shooting. Like earlier mentioned, he rarely misses when through on goal. This may be becsause of 90 composure but he has very good finishing, good shot power with hunter. He rarely misses any chances at all and his finesse shots are really good. His curve is 90 and he has the finesse shot trait so most of the time I use the finesse shot with him and he rarely misses. Add that to the 5 star week foot and his shooting is amazing.

Passing. Just like in real life, his passing is amazing and his through balls are usually perfectly weighted. Add that to the 5 star week foot and he can pass off either foot really well. I didn't use this much as a striker but I switched him to central CAM a few times and this was heavily noticable there.

Dribbling. You may have thought this wasn't a strong point but despite having only 84 agility and 77 balance, he suprisingly feels quite fast and agile when dribbling with the ball. This may be because of 92 dribbling. I know this stat doesn't matter a lot, but he has 97 ball control and this is suprisingly noticable as he never has a bad touch and I feel really safe when he's on the ball because of this.

5 Star Weak Foot. I have already mentioned this a lot, but 5 star weak foot is one of the best things to have this year and it what makes this card so good and what makes his shooting incredibly consistent.

Work Rates. I usually don't like attackers with medium/low or medium/medium but for this card it seems to be fine because of the stats and attacking positioning. However, I could only imagine what this card would be if he had a high attacking work rate.
Stamina. 83 stamina isn't very good at this point in the game and he gets a bit tired at the end but not as much as others because of his workrates. However, I don't sub him off because he is so good and there are other players in my team with even worse stamina.
Defending/Physical. I know defending isn't really important as an attacker but in the past I have used attackers (like Traore and Prime Kluivert) that can suprisingly make a tackle and if they lose the ball, they may have a chance to win it back, but this isn't the case with ozil and it's probably because of his 55 aggression. His strength is alright at 70 and can hold off some defenders, but when up against the likes of Van Dijk and Varane, he doesn't really have a chance.

Unbelievable

Amazing CAM, he can do it all!

So I have OTW Pepe and POTM Auba so Özil fits straight into my squad no problem, and my god hes amazing, anyone who didnt take time to do the objective to get him is serious going to regret it! I play him as a right CAM in a 451 or a central CAM if I switch to a 4231 he can play both amazing and cutting in on his left foot makes him lethal

Mesut "Avatar Eyes" Özil Review

Mesut Özil is a great player attacking wise, but shockingly terrible defensively. I played him with Maestro at CM in a 433(2) for fun mostly in Division 6 Rivals and fun I did have.
