The God of Goals
By tsunamiSurfer3, 16-03-2020

Butragueno, the god of goals! I was lucky enough to get him in my prime icon pack from swaps and was so happy. The 5* weak foot is a gamer changer on any card for me so to get him was perfect. He's the spanish sniper, so accurate he could snipe singular coronavirus off your hands! Honestly though he really doesn't miss. The 5* weak foot is a game changer and makes it so much easier to score goals as defenders have no idea what you're are going to do. After seeing how his is preforming i would happily spend the 1.7 million he is currently going for. The 94 pace is a game changer as he feels so quick in game. I much prefer him to other strikers i have used this game such as FFS Greenwood, Shapeshifter richarlison, RTTF son and scream aguero. I'm going to put the value for money at 5 eventhough i didnt have to buy him, like i said earlier i would happily pay 1.7million for him.

  • (94 pace is ridiculous
  • Shooting is a joke
  • Passing is okay but nothing special
  • Dribbling is sublime-up there with the best
  • Positioning and the runs he makes

?(4

  • 3* skills possibly but really isnt an issue for me as i can still do the two most OP skills this fifa (ball roll and drag back)
  • Height and strength-easily nudged off the ball but his dribbling and pace means he can easily avoid contact with defenders.

El Buitre
By Robertbruksaas, 10-03-2020

Soo Butragueno where do i start? i was lucky enough to pack him in untradable rewards! He fit perfectly in my team since my new RB Ramos and David Villa needed links, i was allready looking for an attacking icon so Butragueno fit nicely.

I have never used a player like him before he really was something for himself, The squad i included is how i played after minute 1. I first tried him in the weekend league and it was a slow start with him cause i wasn't used to the 3 star skills. I knew i just had to get used to him to get him going and boy was i right! After a couple more games he started banging in goals left right and center although he hits the post for me quite often. He started scoring 2-3 goal every match and saved my WL.

So his weakfoot, 5 stars its absolutely amazing, of all the players i have tried Butra definately got the best 5 star weakfoot of the ones i have tried. There is NO difference between his right and left foot.

3 Star skills. I never really use 3 star skill players and prior to packing Butra i was using Shapeshifter Mahrez so it was very different with the 3 star skills. I think his skills arent the best but his dribbling stats really make up for it, he has great turns and using ballroll, Dragback and fakeshots he easily passes defenders. One thing tho is that he is really weak and you will notice that at first but you will get used to not running him into players. (Marksman is a must for him)

All in all i think Butragueno is a great card that is really fun to use but i think his price right now is a little bit to much for him (1.7 mill) When you can get the likes of Messi for 650k.

I sta

  • Pace (His dribbling stats makes him feel really rapid)
  • Shooting (Amazing with both feet) But he hits the post for me a lot therefore -1
  • Dribbling (Get used to 3 star skills and you will not have any problems)
  • Short passing
  • Great for links
  • Strenght (You will notice it, but can easily get used to it)
  • Long passing (Not very accurate)

The best striker I've ever used
By Henrique499, 29-04-2020

So, just a few days ago, when the second icon swaps was released, I naturally started the grind with the prime icon pack in mind, since I had chosen Maldini in the first round. When I'm opening the pack, the Spanish flag appeared and gladly I saw this guy pop up instead of a puyol or hierro. Looking at the card stats, the only flaw I was able to find was that 3 star skill moves. I tried two chemistry styles on him, Maestro and Hawk. My personal experience has made me realise that Hawk is just perfect for this card, since that boost in pace allows El Buitre to just speed past the opposition. He is one of the best finishers in the game, I guarantee that he will not miss obvious chances and he will put the ball in the back of the net from really hard angles. His 79 curve is not a problem, because his finesse trait makes his finesse shots just top notch. Just to finish, being very small, makes this card a top dribbler, as he can turn as fast as Messi and then just leave the defenders behind.

He will miss some of those long passes, but for a ST, you don't really feel this in your game

I got him in my prime icon pack and i was meh about his sm but he surprised me. He is so quick and good on the ball, agile... His sm cant be problem if u have him as a second striker. Strength for me is a small problem.

You get what you see

Hello everyone, this will be my first review on Futbin, so here goes nothing! I packed Butra in a 55k pack from a random SBC, who knew they could give out, right? Anyways, he was and is my first and only icon packed in FUT 20, so naturally, I slotted him right into my team. And after 211 games played with him, I can definetly say he is a player that plays like his stats say he should. While new FIFA players may find what I just said a bit confusing, experienced FIFA players will now that more often than not, players do not play as well as their stats suggest they should. I mostly used him in Rivals, but there are also approximately 60 weekend league games in there, in all of which he performed similarly. My verdict on the card is that he plays like his card stats suggest (except for one, see below), he is a very solid striker that will do everything you need him to, but for the 1.4m coins he is right now, I would maybe wait it out on buying him due to TOTS being next week and then compare him to other non-icon options that might get full chem in your team. Thanks for reading my review, be welcome to leave an upvote, if you enjoyed it!

PACE: Obviously, as 95 acceleration and 93 sprint speed already suggest, he is quick. He also seems like it, probably due to his height and good dribbling stats. With the hawk chemistry-style on him, his pace should be almost maxed out on paper, but I don't think it is quite. But we all know how fast defenders can catch up this FIFA.

SHOOTING: Already having great finishing stats, the hawk only amplifies those and makes him very, very clinical. He scores everything you expect him to, I found him to be especially good with all types of inside the box finesse shots, also occasionally putting in the ones from outside the box. I never was in a situation where I thought: "OMG, how did he miss that?!", which is very rare for this FIFA, hence the 10/10 for shooting. (Note: I do not think he has the greatest outside the box shooting, but generally I never went for those shots anyways, as we all know that long shots are just not the way to go this year.)

DRIBBLING: The dribbling stats are one of two important areas not boosted by the hawk, but I still found his dribbling to be good enough. It is more than solid, he always feels agile even in the bad gameplay, which might also be down to his height. He feels responsive and his first touch is almost always good (there can be the odd one out), I don't know what more you could want from a striker (obviously 4+ skill moves, but that will be covered later), therefore a solid 8/10 on the dribbling score.

5*WF: The 5*WF imo is his biggest pro by far, it is so insanely important to have attackers that are equally good on both feet, and with Butra I can confirm that he definetly is just that (unlike some of the FUT-Birthday players with upgraded 5*WF, he also seems to be aware he is equally good on both feet.) I don't think any more needs to be said about this point.

(3*SM): At first I thought the 3*SM would be bothering me ingame, but except for the odd stop and turn or standing scoop turn, there are little skills I really missed being able to do with him. It only showed what I previously assumed that for strikers, a 5*WF is much, MUCH more important than 4*SM. If you want to play him anywhere else than striker however, I can see the skillmoves becoming a problem, so be aware of that.

PASSING: Passing is surprisingly the biggest con for me, as I often rely on my strikers taking part in the play, and with 89 vision and 85 short passing I thought he was able to do just that, but at times I thought his passing to be a bit lackluster. This might not be the same for you tho, and if you play him in a position where you heavily rely on his passing you might want to try the engine chemistry-style.

STRENGTH: Strength is definetly one of his obvious cons, the hawk chemistry-style won't change much about that. Due to his size, he will be weak and easily shouldered off the ball, but with that it is always important to keep in mind the pros of being short in FIFA 20.

(WORKRATES): The last con that needs to be mentioned, even if in brackets, are his workrates. Medium/Low seems a bit off-putting at first glance, but I never found them to have a negative impact on the cards positioning or offensive runs. Messi also has Medium/Low and I believe he does just fine for people ;).
