I used him last Fifa as a starter keeper and he was great so I decided to go for the same guy again, and was again pleasantly surprised! I packed Alisson and honestly I preferred Ryan to Alisson. Ryan was far more consistent in goal with solid all round stats. His 53 speed is a positive in this Fifa where many keepers lack speed. Nearly all his other stats are in the 80's and with a chemistry style (even basic) he's a tank. 4* weak foot is good too as it means he can pass around the back and distribute well, keeping his cool under pressure and rarely miss-hitting it. I bought the lad at the start of Fifa for a mere 450 coins which is nothing, and was going to upgrade him. However, after a travesty with Alisson on numerous occasions I went back to Ryan. He is remarkably consistent in goal and is cheap as chips making his a good affordable keeper for all players of the game, and his 80 rated status makes him good fodder later in the game, plus he's easy to link cause he's in the Premier League!
The few downsides of this guy is that he is 6'0 tall, which I mean normally would be great but for a keeper 6'0 isn't as tall as you'd expect or like, though it is barely noticeable. His 1* weak foot is the only other downside which is reasonable unless you used Pope last year and want to try rainbow flick the attacker only to bottle it and concede. Otherwise I'd 100% recommend the reliable Ryan, especially for 450-500 coins you can't really go wrong.
-Decent all round stats, including tolerable speed (for a keeper)
-4* weak foot and decent passing for distribution
-82 reflexes means he'll action dive for the ball unlike Alisson and Kepa (speaking from lots and lots and lots and lots of experience)
-Also, apparently he can actually convert penalties, though I don't think that's really that big a pro for a keeper
-Height isn't ideal, which is what my ex said, but there we go. Can't have it all
