Hello everyone! Today we will be reviewing: Diego Carlos!
BACKSTORY:
First when i got Diego Carlos i was a bit sceptical. He was paired with Militao and Diego was very average. He was invisible on the pitch, couldn't make any interceptions. But now? He is a monster.
Now, let me get to the ratings:
PACE: 8/10
Nothing much to expect here, he is very speedy, but not Klostermann or Varane levels. I give him a solid 8. (Fun fact! With a shadow he has 87 pace! Holy!).
SHOOTING: N/A
What did you expect? He's a defender. (Fun fact! He finishes better than Douglas Costa).
PASSING: 9/10
The stats are lying, he is a very good passer for me. Only 5 times out of like 100 he missed a pass. (Fun fact! His passing feels like KDB).
DRIBBLING: 3/10
For me he feels very clunky on the ball. Don't dribble with him. (Fun fact! He is less clunky than Lukaku).
DEFENDING: 9.9/10
Nothing much to say here. One of the best defenders on FUT. Sure, he might not be as good as Ramos but for 20K? Best defender for that price. (Fun fact! With a shadow he has 91 defending! Holy Moly!).
PHISICALITY: 10/10
Very strong, doesn't get bullied by attackers, in fact, he bullies them! (Fun fact! He is stronger than Prime R9!).
OVERALL RATING: 8/10
Very good defensivly, bullies attackers, fast but not that fast. (Fun fact! Best defender i've used all year in fut).
Great Defending
Great Passing
Great Phisicality
OK'ish Pace
Pretty much only dribbling and shooting but it doesn't matter
Arguably the best CB out there, asides from the sweats Walker, Gomez and Varane, lets get into it.
PACE-
An absolute lie. Feels like 80+pace on basic as well. 0 problems on that aspect
TACKLING-
The amount of times this man has smashed little kante into the ground and saved me a goal are uncountable. He will always get the ball, no matter if its Adama or messi.
STRENGTH-
Brilliantly strong, holds up against even the toughest attackers and bodies them off
HEADING-
99% of all aerial duels are a done deal when he jumps up. With his height and strength, headers are a finished game
LINKABILITY
Excellent linking to Alisson AND ederson, lnks to Marquinhos as well and ofc, militao
PASSING-
Perhaps the most surprising, this man has excellent passing. In 22 games, he nearly scored a screamer from outisde the box, and assisted twice in a tight WL game to help me get Elite 2
This dude is a monster. He stops even the strongest attacks right in their tracks. While all cards will have their idiosyncrasies Diego Carlos's are overwhelmingly positive unlike some of the other meta center backs. He plays similar to Lenglet in that he is skilled on the ball and good in the air. Where he differs from Lenglet is pace and strength. This dude is fast; maybe not Varane fast but definitely one of the faster center backs out there. He is also incredibly strong, don't let the stats trick you, this dude feels like a 99 strength. He bodies smaller players and even bigger players like Lewandowski or Suarez.
