Hi everyone. Today I'll be reviewing: RoberTo Baggio!
His "Baby" 89 card costs (in the making of the review) 600k. It costed me 670k cuz im on PC. I play him at cam in 41212(2). Now, let me get to the ratings. (Btw all my games were in D2 DR).
Pace: 8/10
Very quick but not the quickest. Sometimes you can feel that 82 pace but personally i don't feel it that often.
Shooting: 9/10
Very good. Stats lie. His shooting feels like 90. Period.
Passing: 10/10
Best passing I've ussed so far. Nothing much to say here. Just look at those stats if you don't belive. 90 passing...
Dribbling: 10/10
Outstanding dribbling. Maybe you'll be worried about that 79 agility but let me tell you something... "Don't Worry... Be happy!" If you question what it means it means that his agility doesn't feel like 79. With a finisher it feels like Mbappe.
Defending: N/A
Just like very attacker i review, i give him an N/A cuz he has 41 defending and it doesn't matter as an attacker.
Physicality: 4/10
RoberTo Baggio isn't really a physical player. CB's bully him. His 70 stamina may be sometimes a problem but now as EA removed fitness cards it's not really a big problem. Think of him like a Ben Yedder. Stay Forward!
I was lucky enough to pack baggio out of the season progress rare gold pack and oh boy is he good. Although his pace looks bad it feels more like 87 than 82 but his 5 star skills help that as well.I play him at cam in a 4-1-2-1-2(2) and his passes and runs are INSANE. His shot power power is only noticeable every once in a while but his shot accuracy easily makes up for it. The only problem i have is he gets pushed off the ball easily but most attackers do.
HEY, I was lucky to pack ROBERTO BAGGIO 89 from my 25k pack. I was already shocked, so I decided first of all- before selling him, I must check if he is worth 600k?
I didn't played many games with him, packed him today ;).
I use him with hunter. (I don't like slow CAM's)
His pace with hunter is overall very good.
Shooting.. Fantastic shoots, both volleys, penalties, long shots, and even free kicks- usually are goals.
Passing is awesome, as well he is fantastic playmaker.
Really good dribbling, and his only 79 agility does not feel bad!
His strength, as well as stamina could be better.
Overall, I am very happy that I packed him, I am not selling him now :) . He is REALLY underrated, and his card is great choice into your team, but he isn't cheap.
Wow. I did not expect to be writing my first review of fifa 21 on this guy, nor did I expect him to be the most game changing player this year (yes, I have an untradeable gold CR7). Quite honestly the most fun CF I've used this year. I say CF because despite playing mainly at ST for me (occasionally at CAM), he seemed to be neither 100% a striker or 100% a cam. However, his runs in behind were sublime, just about having enough pace to get past the defensive line when he got the ball. I'll hopefully get on twitch soon and record a proper review for this guy. I apologise in advance for any typos/weirdly worded sentences.
free kicks
This mans free kicks were surprisngly good considering shot power, scored a cracker in off the bar in my last game.
finesse, finesse, finesse
Just finesse it and see what happens, sometime flies in, sometimes doesn't but it's an effective way to trouble the opposition keeper from just outside the box.
passing
Honestly, the best passer I've used all year, beautiful chips over the offside trap, threaded balls between defenders, crosses, standard 5 yard balls, Baggio makes it all look so easy and hardly ever gets it wrong.
dribbling
Despite being 17 I am well aware of what Baggio was like in real life. This means the occasional attempt at dribbling through the whole of the oppositions team, including their GK, surprisingly it worked more often that not despite myself being not the most proficient skiller in the world.
weak foot
Felt really good for a 4*, scored some great goals with his left and hardly ever let me down when through on goal
~ pace and stamina
I have used a ~ because they didn't blow me away but they weren't terrible either. With his immaculate technical prowess, the need for ridiculous pace in game wasn't there and he was certainly fast enough for the CAM/ST role in my team. Stamina was okay, he could last 90 minutes but it was getting a bit iffy by the end. Didn't matter thought coz 9 times out of 10 he's already dropped a masterclass by this point and can focus on passing through a tired defence instead of dribbling through it.
physicality
Naturally, not the strongest player in the world. However, didn't feel as bad as the stats suggested with the occasional battle for the ball going in his favour (probably DDA thought tbh).
bad gameplay
In bad gameplay don't be disappointed when you can no longer skill your way through the whole team and top bin it from 25 yards out - did miss the occasional good chance but that's more due to my inability to read keeper movement / terrible gameplay.
shot power consistency
To be expected, sometimes an absolute rocket, other times a pea roller. Get used to where he can score regularly from and abuse that.
Man, idk. I was skeptical at first when i got him in my base icon sbc, but holy **** he is a hidden gem, for just 60k + fodder i used. he was great as CAM with finisher on him in a 4 2 3 1, however i decided that i should use him as ST with a hunter in a 4-2-2-2 instead. I instantly fell in love with him. He assists my IF salah so well. amazing passing (great vision and through balls), amazing dribbling (5 star skill moves, dont let the low agi and balance deceive you), good shooting with both feet, even tho his shot power is poor, just hold down the button more. i love him! make sure u have a sub for him after min 70-80.
shooting
good enough pace
passing
5* skill moves, 4* weak foot
low stamina
low strength
low agi and balance, but its no that big of a deal for me tbh
What a player. I used him a lot in the draft game mode, and he felt soooo smooth. I played him behind normal Dembele in a 4231, and he started slow, but once I got the hang of his style, he was a machine. The skills are an excellent thing, as his unpredictability makes up for his lack of pace. In Div 2, there are not many real breakaway chances; I usually have to build up in front of the opponent's box. This is what Baggio does best. Quick skill moves and a good bridge make it so that I get through people easily. His pace is noticeably low, but again in front of the opponent box, he is unstoppable. His agility stat is fake, and his shot power is not bad at all with a hunter, but noticeable compared to the likes of Freeze Aouar and Messi. I am saving up right now for his mid, hoping he lives up to this wonderful display.
I have used Baggio for enough games now to be able to know how he performs. The card is best played at st and cam I have tried him out wide with a hunter but he doesn't have the dribbling that you need for the wing. At cam he will get many assists but can't really get near goal but has a great ability to get into positions to make passes to score goals. If you're looking for a slightly clunky cam with great passes and great skills, he is you're man At st this card can break defences, if he is not stopped by physical players, his pace at st is rather good, I have found myself outpacing joe Gomez and some other paceycb's, also at st he has the 5* skill, but some games he is known to disappear as he only has a medium attacking work rate, but when he performs, he doesn't disappoint, he has got multiple hattricks for me , although inconsistent if you want a fun st Baggio can do the job.
I've used this card with 2 chem styles now and i have come to the conclusion that a finisher is the best chem style as it boost his shooting up and his dribbling. The reason I feel many don't like Baggio in FIFA is his low agility and balance, which is usually fine for taller players, but since Baggio is minute and has low physicals. This is ultimately the downfall of this card.
Shooting
baggio's shooting is fairly average in that most shots you would expect to go in will go in and then every so often he hits a nice long shot and then oncee everso often he hits a tragic miss, fairly mixed on the shooting front.
Dribbling
Decent with a finisher, tragic without, if you get this card and don't use something to up the agility and balance you will be disappointed. But even with the chem stlye onthe dribbling is mixed as although you feel clunky his height makes it feel less clunky so he feels weird on the ball. that being said he gets the job done with his dribbling.
Pace
definitely NOT 82, he feels rapid on the ball for a player with lowish pace . feels more like 91 pace.
Passing
Pretty good, i can say this is the only consistent part of the card as he can play great through balls and nice crossing.
I played him in central CAM in a 4-2-3-1 formation around players such as Puskas, Son and Lucas Moura and to say he was the weak link would be an understatement. He was just to slow for that position and his pace combined with his poor agility, balance and stamina made him virtually useless. I was really excited to use him as I had heard a lot of good things but he would just get pushed of the ball so easily, it would literally take a defender to be beside him and he starts to loose the ball. Surprisingly his shooting wasn't an issue at all; in fact that was the best thing about the card. His passing although good doesn't justify the price of the card as there are cheaper alternatives who can do the same. Overall I'd say unless you have him untradeable just save up for somebody better or just get bruno does the same job. I am in division 2 and for me he just wasn't cutting it.
I packed him from the baby icon sbc so repaced normal dybala with him in my team and I have never regretted a decision more in my life. I usually finish elite however I struggled so hard using him in weekend league and looked forward to subbing him off in 60th min every game.
PACE - 3/10
He feels so slow compared to every regular wl cb eg. gomez, varane etc so when he does break the line he gets easily caught up.
SHOOTING - 6/10
Unreliable. Never trusted him infront of goal and squandered many a chance.
PASSING - 7/10
The best part of his game however did not feel like 90 as he misplaced too many passes. However that said he did get 12 assists but that isnt hard from the main cam position.
DRIBBLING - 4/10
79 agility absolutely kills this card, that coupled with the lack of pace means his dribbling isnt up to scratch. Originally tried this card with a hunter however had to change to engine as I needed some sort of agility boost to go with the pace boost already put on him. This lack of agility destroys the use of his 5* skills too as his stiffness means you can barely chain two skills together before youve been tackled.
DEFENDING - 2/10
Non-existant however he did do his best work as a lcm in the 41212(2) as he didnt get involved with the play.
PHYSICAL - 2/10
A sneeze could out-muscle this man and so like I said before any defender pushes him off the ball before he can get past them.
Overall
There is no point in spending 500k on this card when normal James Ward-Prowse plays the same if not better than him. Save your money and buy an actual good player and I feel sorry for you if you pack him like I did.
