Let’s get straight to it.
I completed his SBC on with 12 hours to go in preparation for the 86, as soon as the upgrade to 86 was complete, the stats looked juicy enough to fit in any and every La Liga squad.
99 Stamina, H/H work rates. He is the perfect CM/CDM with Gullit gang written all over him. Throw a shadow/anchor on him and all his stats are over 80 and he can RUN ALL GAME while bodying the likes of Sissoko, Pogba and finally a player who can out-muscle Kante easily.
He is always in the right place, super strong and even bagged a couple of worldies for me.
I use him as a ‘stay-back’ CM while attacking and then switch to a double pivot in the second half when I need to shut up shop and he has exceeded my expectations. The upgrade is unbelievably noticeable.
If you managed to complete him - well done for foreseeing what this card became.
If you didn’t - hard luck! This is one complete midfeilder for all La Liga teams.
Who knows? This might not be the end of the upgrades. Atleti are looking strong this year and an 88 Herrera will be absolutely nasty and likely to be end-game.

Completed his SBC just after it came out and I'm pretty happy about my decision, I pair him up with Kante in a 4-2-2-2 and he sits back and leads the play pretty nicely. As I said in the title he feels like a dictating midfielder and even tho he may not run that much he certainly fights for the squad. He has great links too and I'm debating if I should link him with Joao Felix SBC or if I just should stick with Carrasco, because I don't really know how long this Herrera card is gonna be top tier. Good thing is he gets upgraded as time goes on so he's just gonna keep on getting better and better. I also had his normal card at the start of the game and the feeling I got with him back then is the same now,

I did this guy because I wanted a hard link for Felix in case I needed him. I use him with a shadow as a cdm in 4231 paired with IF Valverde and he is crucial in my build up play. I call him the mailman for two reasons. One, because he delivers what you need. And two, because all my passes go through him and he barely makes a bad pass.
His defending is very decent, his positioning is very good, his jockeying is also decent and he often bullies the opponents of the ball.
His attacking is very passive to near non existent, i've tried a couple of long shots and they were on target but no goals. Dribbling with him is also not reliable, but that is not what you should expect from him. He is a very good cdm or cm on defending and is more reliable than my Frenkie de Jong was.(who was at times great but had also great dips.)
