I am not very good at FIFA and never have been. I was hard stuck in div 6 for the longest time possible recently from the freeze pack I got Alaba and since I use a Bundesliga squad I was excited to use him. And let me tell u this he is insane. he is fast, agile, his defensive awareness and positioning are unreal. he is just such a good all-rounded card he can ping the passes to both my wingers out wide and it extremely accurate. To add to this Bayern are definitely going to progress far in the champions league so he will get many upgrades and will be able to stay relevant he will also have strong links with the TOTY Bundesliga cards and strong links to the Bayern cards like Alphonso Davies, Neuer, Kimmich, etc.
-heading ( he hasn't lost an aerial duel yet but he isn't great on corners either)
-Height ( people usually prefer more meta tall defenders like Varane or Gomez)
-physicality (he can get outmuscled at times but his pace helps him recover)
I play Alaba with anchor style in a 4-1-2-1-2 next to IF Delayne and Zakaria RTTF as a CDM and i have to say, this is like cheating... I played him in the WL where i normaly get Gold1 or 2 if i have enouht time. He scored 8 goals, but 7 of them as a penalty, but i mean... scoring is just not his job.
Alaba is small, yeah... but he is quick, gets every interception and when he has the ball, there is no easy loss in the box or anything else. His controll of the ball is amazing and his passing feels way better then his stats might seem. I need a CB who can bouild my game, so i played with Hummels IF and Delayne IF before, but Alaba is even better in controlling the game then Hummels was. His heading is not the best, but with Delayne who wins everything u dont really miss a tall CB.
So yeah, he is woth the money for a CB, also keep in mind that bayern might get very far in the CL, so he could be a 90+ in a few weeks.
But i haven´t told you the best part. I switch CDM and CB, depending on what i need in game. Alaba is a great CB, but as a CDM he is a god. He feels like a mix of kante and Pogba and that Zakaria with his 1.90 height, his 86 pace and ecept for his jumping and heading a perfekt physical and def stats will do the job as a CB was clear. So when i want to play a bit mor offensive, i play alaba as a CDM, if not zakaria will go there and alaba stays as a CB. in both positions he is outstanding, with the coming upgrades he will get the 2500 in game stats, so he will be even better in the center of the field.
I know, this sound a bit overhyped, but when i saw that the price for him droped i thought i could try him and i still dont know why he is that cheap. With davies and neuer he can play in every squad and when you have a good CDM that u want to play as a CB but u dont want to loose chem... take this guy. imagine what he looks like when bayern wins the next two games against lazio and he ll get +2.
I play Alaba for about 2 weeks. Before I had him together with Alphonso Davies i had the WL-Basics Varane and Mendy and all i can say is, that Alaba is a upgrade for me. At first I thought he'll never get on Varane level because of his Height and his speed. But all I can say is that he's the best IV i've played in this Game so far. I had Ramos, Van Dijk, Gomez, Ake, De Ligt and none of them killed attackers like Alaba does. Even with his 80 Pace he gets the most of the Attackers in Sprint Duells even Adama or Lozano aren't any problems. His Height is also like no Problem I scored 7 Goals after a corner with him in like 25 Games what i don't get, not even Ramos had such a Header and outjumped the enemy defender. Also he has quite good stamina for a defender and his positioning is just godlike. Together with Kimmich TOTGS and Alphonso there's nothing you have to worry about.
I was lucky enough to pack him out of my 83+ Swaps Pack an because I am a Bayern Fan he had to get imto my squad. Eventhough hes only 1,80 cm tall and not as fast as maybe joe gomez or Varane this alaba card is really good. His Pace, Ball Controll, Passing and agility are crazy! His Pace feels more like 84 or 85 (i guess because he is more agile and smaller than the ordanary defender). His Strength was also a big suprise. At only 80 i thought hes was going to get bullied but that was not the case, because of his agility he often gets in front of a striker and can take the ball of with ease.
I have paired him with Varane, Gomez, Laporte Rulebreaker and Kounde. I‘d say eventhough Varane and Gomez give me a lot of headaches in the WL he was the one who stud out the most. Don‘t get me wrong here, Alaba is very goog and if he gets an upgrade he will be even better but he is not the perfect defender and if you are on a budget you should look around for other options. BUT if you have enough Coins and If you need a pacy defender with good passsing out of the back get him!
I will let David do anything he wants to me, and I mean it, I will get on my knees for him and I will bend over for him, what a man. This beauty is wasted at cb, you're a fool if you play him there, because with a guardian he is the second best cdm itg, only behind daddy Keane. He intercepts everything keane doesn't and can make some solid forward runs, whilst being mobile and making quality passes left right and centre. he's tall and strong, and I bet he's packing too. Everything you would need in a player and he is cheap as chips. Get him in son.
