King crosser LALA
By tallowban, 21-12-2020

First review due to the injustice of the only other review here! So mister Lala, yeah he is no neymar or dirty alessandrini but he is a different kind of player and you kind of got to know that. So in my team with baby rio, baby cantona, mid nedved, baby kaka, mid keane and other main defensive golds RM/RWB was an issue (in the 442(2) and 352). I had red Rashford (solid but crossing is meh, mix between there and st with him as had better strikers), sterling untradeable for speed but man can barely cross, beckham as we all do but he is to slow plus many other cards. Issue being none could cross well with speed and be still okay at all other parts of the game. I said I would try Lala as I have a lot of untradeable fodder (and little coins left) and man oh man does he do a job If you are like me you need that guy that can run direct and cross well even at full belt. First game at 1650 skill rating, crossed to alba at the other side for a headed goal (he has literally brought my LB into the game as scoring threat repeatedly now) followed by 2 more to cantona and a goal himself. I was like ok ok but will not get carried away... next 5 games, the man is like KDB crossing IRL and I think does it better than beckham in game(maybe with the speed he can get the space more) 15 assists and 4 goals. If you need what I needed and nothing more then he is awesome and does a 9/10 job as there are not many at RM can do what he does up until now in fifa.

Crossing, crossing, crossing

Stam

speed

Workrate for RM

Movement for his 4 goals come in was very good (maybe could do it more)

Could say WF and skills but what he does for me I don't notice it (skills I used only a small amount ever)

Shooting (But he finished what I expected him to do)

Disaster
By lachkonti, 20-12-2020

I wonder if anybody would read this.

I wonder if anybody has done this SBC except me.

I quite frankly don't know why I did it myself, but let's get to the review.

Kenny Lala is a great player in real life and I think he's severely underrated, but in FIFA, especially this RM version, he's awful.

I used him in 3-5-2 formation with the hope that he will serve as a winger as well as a defender who comes back to help the back three when needed.

His stats do lie;

Pace is correct, might be faster than the number says, but then it gets bad.

Shooting is atrocious, this man just can't hit the target no matter what, I gave up on the 2nd game I played just because he basically can't hit the ball right. He just can not. (shot power 94 is bs)

Passing: This guy can pass the ball and create space for attackers but I doubt he's much better at it than other players. I think he's decent at passing.

Dribbling: Meh, he's not bad, but he feels incredibly weak when trying to run through opponent's defense, the pace is helping, but he's just not a dribbler.

Defending: No, no, no, this guy can not defend, he loses 72% of tackles (I kept an eye on this stat). He has no strength whatsoever, I tried a ton of tackles and they just did not work. He's horrendous.

Physical: Never. Kenny Lala is just weak, his strength feels like 40, everybody pushes him around, the most outstanding thing I noticed was when I was down a man, I put Lala in RB and Lorenzo Insigne absolutely powered through him and basically bullied Lala for 45 minutes.

Overall this card is not worth it as you may imagine. I would only recommend completing this SBC if you're a fan of Lala, otherwise save your money.

Thanks

Truck with feet
By MrTiki, 04-01-2021

Hear me out. Yes the stats are not outstanding but in game he is a marksman in distribution. His strength helps him body fullbacks to track behind him using the left trigger on through balls. But I do tend to get out ran a lot. His finishing is not a problem, his shot power is so good that once the ball leaves his foot if its on target its a great chance at goal. His agility is not great, he's not a "saucy" or "slippery" winger like saint max or mane but rather a little stuck in the mud. His weak foot is not terrible but okay. The lack of skill moves hurts my chances to get up field. But He is a great counter attacker, my Marquinhos sends flying through balls in behind the fullbacks for Lala to be 1 on 1 with the keeper. And he does finish those a lot for me. A downside though is his craftiness in the box. He can only do a few things with the ball instead of dipping and dodging right through the defense like a good dribbling attacker can do. His pens are amazing but I know everyone can score pens but he doesn't shoot them like anyone I have seen. His penalty's are straight and sharp net cutting shots that don't awkwardly bend like everyone else's pens. I have to say he is the most unique Fifa card I have used. He isn't the traditional godly full back we saw in Fifa 19. But rather a strong passing mechanic that doesn't fit the meta. I completed his Sbc the day he came out and immediately regretted it. But after using him he was a fun card to use and actually did great for me. But I do tend to sub him out for my 86 totw Zaha almost every game. Overall, I dont regret my decision because he has contributed greatly for me. But I will be looking to replace him on the near future.

LALA THE HIDDEN DREAM
By vespa22, 09-02-2021

Lala is a hidden dream. But not in the way you might think.I did him at first due to having duplicate high rated untradeables. I originally thought he was going to be useless, and this is where I admit, as a forward, he was. His return was like 1 in 8, so I said to myself that I would have to use him differently. Then I got an idea to use him as a midfielder, because I needed a right mid that could play in the midfield. He was PERFECT for this. As a centre mid, he dominates people. He's so so fast, he catches everyone and is insane for defending against counter attacks. He is very good at going forward as well. He loves to offer a wide passing option and can find himself between defenders very easily. He has even scored a couple of times from this (Div2/Div3/Champs) and can be the extra man you need going forward to score goals, especially when the opponent plays drop back. He is crazy when defending. His tackling stats are a lie and he easily dominates most midfielders due to the high pace+strength, and technical players like David Silva are essentially mute against him. He is amazing at winning the ball and then has the pace to beat most if not all midfielders to push it forward. Even players like Gullit will struggle to catch him due to the 99 pace. It's disturbing how useful it is this year to have high pace mids and Lala is NO slack when it comes to this.

This card is nowhere near perfect though. There is a couple of issues. 3* 3* is not the best and can be a let down. The card SUCKS as a striker, for some reason. I tried a hunter and a hawk, both were awful, don't bother. It's dribbling is not the best, there are better for tight spaces (like freeze Aouar/87 ben yedder) and it's not brilliant in the air for headers, which is a downfall this year where goal kicks are POWERFUL.

Overall, if you did this card and you still have it, and you don't know what to do with it, try it as a midfielder, you might find the thing that pushes your team forward another rank. Because Kenny Lala CAN do that.

Easy to pass to, is everywhere, 91 positioning really shows when going forward.

99 Pace on shadow, nobody gets away from him.

Surprisingly good at tackling.

Insane tackling

Very strong, bullies lots of weaker forwards

Insane Passing

90 Stamina

Would probably be a very good wide winger with the high positioning, good vision and 95 crossing (some people love their low crosses)

3* 3*.

Was quite pricey for the card. (I paid 125k)

Awful as a forward. Absolutely awful. Don't know why.

Not the best at dribbling in tight spaces.
