Shadow equipped he was ready to go. He just slotted into the cdm role in my team and he is as fast as you could ever need. There is nobody who can outpace him.

Maybe the only part of the card that isn't insanity his long shots are alright but he only has 1 goal which is slightly dissapointing.

He really is very good on the ball his vision is a bit low but that is not too much of an issue. He does the passing job he needs to do perfectly.

He doesn't spend too much time on the ball but when he is on it he is very good and comfortable and doesn't lose possession often.

This is really special. His stand tackle (91) is ridiculous he is immense in defence and if he was a bit taller he would be a sick cb

He is really the only right choice from level 15. Why not the others?
Bakambu? Well CSL, and u have lots of alternatives. Just use Teixeira und you're good to go.
Thioub? Well he is in a better league but just a very average RW and not anything special about him.
So why Duncan?
League is quite good, but i use him as a sub but far more important he is special in some areas. 89 Shortpassing, 99 Shotpower nd 93 Longshots... as a CM! I always sub him on in the second half and he is just everywhehere. I play him as a CM in a 442 on balanced and cover center. He goes forward is always around the box and if you have a clear sight from outside the box its an easy goal with him. But also defensivly he never lets u down and tracks everbody down and destroys them. He is the perfect cm and i dont understand why he is 83 should be 86+
Duncan is absolutely amazing I grinded a while to get this card and it is fair to say that it was 100% worth it I play a 41212 narrow and at cdm he’s Astonishing
his defending comes in very handy and most of the time you can stop the opponent with a standard standing tackle and if he somehow manages to get past you his 88(+10) acceleration (especially with a shadow) allows him to just explode and get right back at the attacker

He is a free Kante, he is just unstoppable I played my second every weekend league and got Gold 2 with him next to Gold sisoko. His right foot is just as good as left in close range but for long range it may be a bit dead as it did annoy me at times. I also played with him in DIV 2 and he plays brilliantly. His tackling is so good as well as his strength is good as well. He took the ball of all the meta players like Neymar, Mbappe and etc. He saved me in 50/50 chances and when he was last man in corners. I tried out his long shots but non went in I tried with all angles but it just didn't go in so it way be just me but I didn't score long shots. His pace is decent but with a shadow it is 100% better but up to you. If you need a Left footed CDM/CM he is your guy. I Sored two goals with him both with his right foot surprisingly so his wf IS NOT BAD in short range.
Now the sad part.. the links his is quite hard to link if you don't have coins but if you start in 4-5-1 with him at ST and put Ribery at Cam he will get 10 them and you will. eb able to do a lot with your team as Ribery is French meaning that you put in your French players. Overall I will say for a Free card he is OP

With team press stam does go but able to last full 90 but in extra time you might need to sub him but still able to play (I didn't sub him off because he just absorbed the ball!!)
I've had this man sitting in my club collecting dust for a few weeks and after finally completing fb ronny i needed 1 more link for him to be on full chem and after looking at portugese players in my club nothing caught my eye but when i checked my barren club for serie a players i remembered i had chosen him a few weeks ago, anyways i build my team slap him central cm in a 532 and like a dyson hoover he comes in out of nowhere to intercept every.single.pass played within a 5km radius of him and subsequently send a delicate through ball on to either ronny, prime owen or occasionally one of the other cms/wing backs in a counter attack. he honestly reminds me of my prime essien i had at the end of fut 20 and not just because he's ghanaian, he's good at almost everything, he's rapid, he's smooth on the ball, great passer, amazing physically and one of the best ball winning cms i have used in this game, if i had to make one critique it would be his shooting, it's slightly fraudulent, don't get me wrong he can lash them but the finishing let's him down most of the time not to mention the long shot stat is slightly pointless in my style of play ie. pass the ball in, also i feel this game is not made to accommodate long shots purely because they will almost always be blocked by one of the 50 players sat in the box that said i did score one from about 25 yards out although my opponent was very shit. overall if you're in a similar situation to the one i was in i would recommend choosing him over other similar alternatives.

There was a time in older FUT versions, especially the 13s, the 14s, the 15s... in which I would often stumble upon an average player getting a very good IF card, making the player going from average looking to very good looking. Sometimes, this upgrade would make the player much better (some random names: IF Burak Yilmaz in FIFA 13, IF Teemu Pukki, Diamanti TOTS from that same edition, SIF Heung-Min Son from FIFA 14, IF Darijo Srna... you named it) but sometimes this upgrade would just not make the same difference in game as it was on the card. To this day, I still want to believe it was and it is just my sensation, but I feel like 83 Alfred Duncan can belong to this last category, in part. It feels like EA can't make these kind of average players going from "eh" to "Wow!" just because they don't have a reason to, and because it would not resonate like a plausible thing. It's as if the fact that Duncan is an average player IRL, even doubling his stats would not actually make him that better, as if every player had their own, unique tendencies.
The problem that I had with him was "The Presence": I don't know if it was just me, but I have felt like he was not a part of the game, both offensively and defensively. On offense, I can understand given his workrates, but on defense, he was just "okay". If you would select him, he would have gone for the tackle, otherwise, he would have always been out of position. It almost seemed to me like he was shy.
Given the fact that he has almost no traits, apart from the Long-Shot Taker one, he seems not to have any real unique superpower. He is not aggressive on the ball unless you really dive into tackles. His pace is good, so he is definitely quick. His passing is okay, nothing new, nothing bad. His longshots are almost useless, and even when I had some free space, his shot was actually not that fast and powerful. His physicals are okay, but I feel like sometimes he suffers being 5'10''. You don't feel that with Kanté, but you can feel it with Duncan. Everything is kind of average with him. You might sometimes get a splendid longshots or an amazing recover on defense, but I also feel like I can't expect these things to happen in every game.
Overall, he is a decent player and can be a good all around midfielder, but I sense he lacks all the tendencies that star players have. I am a bit disappointed just because the card looks incredibly good, but in game, a lot of those things just seem to disappear. Obviously with him being ghanian, everyone was comparing him with Essien, given that he even has more stats than Essien's baby version. Sure, but the problem is that Duncan is in no way present like Baby Essien would be.
I still want to try him out in different formations, but let me know how you felt him, just to know if this was just my rapid, placebo feelings.
