I packed him from PL premium upgrade, and I wanted to test him. Now he's my key player. He's perfect LWB, because of crossing. They are always perfectly on my Ronaldo's head. He's fast, durable, and has great dribbling. I think Robertson is one of the best LB/LWB in game. I played Alphonso Davies(rttf), and Theo Hernandez (Headliner), but Robertson is my favourite.
Hey guys, today i wanna talk about the first very good treadable left back from the Premier league. I played many LB from the Prem and didn't like anyone out of Tierney IF, he was ok.But yesterday something happened that changed everything. I packed a purple flair out of my Prem Premium Pack and got him. First i shat my pants cause i thought i packed a Toty and was disappointed as i first saw him( at the link u can see my reaction). But now i must say he's prob the best player type for me. He's a quick LB who also can take a shot from distance and makes great passes. I can recommend him for everyone who hasn't done Adama Freeze.
After a 5 year hiatus from FIFA, early February I picked the game back up, and in my first ever pack here is this young mans smiling face. I packed him tradeable when he was selling for 400k, and while everyone advised I sell him and make a good starter team I refused. Since then, my team has seen a lot of turn over, but not this young man. I do not believe in writing candy-coated reviews that are under researched, so here is the comprehensive scouting report on Andrew Robertson TOTY Honorable mention.
Introduction:
I run a 4-1-2-1-2 (2) that utilizes fullbacks on both ends of the pitch, consequently I pride my club on having elite fullbacks. At the time of writing this he just barely the most expensive LB in the PL, close with TOTS shaw, What if Regguilon, and Freeze Traore. I have tried Andrew at CB and shaw is definitely a better choice to put at CB, but for pure LB I believe Robertson is still head of the pack. That being said if you do not need a PL LB, I would save some coin and go a different direction.
Below I'll get into the nitty gritty of his Pros/Cons, but I believe that AR is a player who outplays his stats. He has a calming presence in my lineup, and he is an absolutely class card.
Andrew is great in build up play. I feel like his positioning is actually 99, as he makes great runs and is always in the right spot.
His High/High work rates make him a presence on both sides of the ball, which is critical for me.
He is a sensational defender. Typically leads the team in interceptions, has the pace to keep up with any wing, and is one of my best on ball defenders.
Athletically, he controls quite smoothly particularly on defense. He jockeys well, and is very fluid in everything he does.
Where AR has fallen flat for me is around the goal. His shooting numbers are obviously poor, but he simply is not a natural finisher.
This is compounded by his 2* WF. He is not capable of cutting back inside and curling one around the keeper consistently.
AR spends a lot of time on the wing for me, and if you are a skiller the 3* SM may be an issue. For me ball rolls and fake shots works just fine.
Links: He is in the PL, which isn't too hard to link. But if you don’t use Mane, Dalglish, VVD or gomez is tough to find perfect links. As someone who runs mostly ligue 1 players it has been a problem at times.
