I play him as the more attacking cm in a 5-3-2 and he scores all the time. Despite having only played 10 games with him i can all ready tell he will be an important player for me thought the weekend and i am currently unbeaten this weekend.

INTRO: Hi guys, i want to tell you that this is my first ever review on Futbin and i was interested to write one. Also i want to say that i ain't from an English speaking country so i apologize if you find any errors in this review. If you wonder i'm a Div 3-4 player depending if i try out new players, try new tactics or having a bad day at the office :). I usually don't play champs btw so i dont know my usual ranking.
So, what about Martin Ødegaard (What if card 88)? I have to say this card is ridiculously sublime on this game i ain't kidding. ( I was lucky enough to pack his card in an 81+ player pick which has been simply outrageous for me). His left foot is World Class, but his weak foot has only got 3* which isn't the best, but with the "outside foot shot" trait it still feels decent enough. He is a very complete CAM. Oh yeah, i played him in a 4-2-2-2 formation as my RAM so i could cut inside with his left foot which really worked out for me and his finesse shots was really impressive. This guy's passing is one of the best i tried in the game so far, short pass, long pass, through balls, you name it. He feels very fast on and of the ball, but with the ball at his feet he feels the best imo. His dribbling is also a huge part of his game and i legit slide past every defender on this game with him, it's that good. He also got the 5* skills so you can pull of some insane skills. With a Hunter chemstyle he feels very, very fast. Especially his acceleration is something else. Medium/medium workrate is also very good imo. I actually played with his Future Stars and TOTS last year and i was so gassed when i got this card. The best thing is that this card will probably upgrade to 90 since Arsenal scored 3 goals against Leicester, imagine that card.
PACE, Solid 9/10: With a Hunter chemstyle he easily outpaces pretty much every defender in the game, he feels so good and quick with the ball at his feet. Amazing accelereation.
SHOT, Strong 9/10: With the Hunter chemstyle his shooting is sublime. Finishing, shot power, finesse shots, short range, long range and volleys all top tier level. Btw i tried him also with Hawk chemstyle and his Long shots was the best i've ever seen in this game. The only error is his 3* weak foot, sometimes you expect some goals to fly into the net but it just doesn't, but its still decent with "Outside foot shot" trait. Also i warn you, he can't header the ball so don't try that :). Still every shot with his left foot hits top bin.
PASS, 10/10: What can i say, just incredible passing, accuracy is on point, short range, long range, crossing, everything.
DRIBBLING, 10/10: Incredible, just incredible, like a prime Leo Messi dribbling ain't kidding. The fact that he got 5* skills spice things up so much. Your opponent will fear this guy. Agility, Balance, Ball controll, Dribbling all top tier level. Composure and reactions is more than decent. This guy will slide pass everybody.
DEFENCE, Solid 5/10: He doesn't do anything special in the defence, but sometimes i realize that he tracks back and stop passing lanes which is more than expected and enough for me.
PHYSICAL, Strong 6/10 (With Hunter). 7,5/10 (With Hawk).: Apart from the Stamina it isn't really anything special. His 70 strength is ok. If you play him with Hawk chemstyle though its maybe slightly better. Agression with Hawk is really, really good. He rushes sometimes for the ball and win it, he blocks passing lanes, so its good enough.
OUTRO: I really enjoyed writing this review and im really looking forward to my next one. Martin Ødegaard is definetly a no brainer for Arsenal fans, Norwegians or any sort of Ødegaard fans. 600k might sound much but its definetly worth it in my opinion. This card came in with a hefty price tag but it was exactly the position i needed, he plays CAM for me, he has class passing and his high vision makes it easy for him to pick out passes, he also seems to have a knack for making good runs and i often find him in good positions.

3 Star WeakFoot is AWFUL and makes him very predictable. Medium/Medium sometimes stops him from making the runs i would like him to.
I used him as a striker next to mbappe in 442. I first also thought Odegaard as striker that isnt gonna work, but i was suprised how good he was there. he scores nearly every match and most times also an assist (only in WL and rivals div1). he shoots really powerfull what i didnt expect and his dribbling is INSANE that you nearly dont recognise his missing physicalty.
I caught this guy in a pack with a guaranteed What If and for me this is one of the best players of this promo, if not the best. I'll tell you all about it now)
As for me, the best position for Odegaard is an attacking midfielder, that's where he will open up best, but in the central midfielder position he will also be good. He is very versatile, good both in attack and defense, he will work out, he is not lazy, even if he plays high. I advise him to leave the task - basic defense, then he will be as useful as possible in defense. His defensive and physical characteristics are quite enough to take away the balls. But its main advantage is the game in attack. Despite the 3 stars on the weak leg, he hits well, but it is better to adjust to the left leg, then the magic happens) But the strongest sides of this guy are passing and especially dribbling. I'm not kidding, they are more pleasant to feint than Neymar (he also plays for me). Thanks to a clever model, he is able to bypass even Varan and Gomez) It's a shame that EA has not yet made a game face, and you will have to see his face often. If Reese James, who is also without a gameface, I see from afar and he does not infuriate me, then for me personally, watching a dummy instead of a normal face is unpleasant for me, but I already dig into the details. In the end, for me, Martin Odegaard is the best attacking midfielder in the Premier League, he can do anything, the only drawback is weakfoot, but in FIFA 21 it's not so bad. I advise you, if you are looking for a versatile player, he will not let you down)
Up until Christmas time I had been using a full Bundesliga squad featuring my favourite ever player, Erling Haaland. Then, all of a sudden, I packed an untradeable Mbappe. He went straight into a reshuffled squad, as disgustingly meta as it could be. But it wasn't working for me. I didn't enjoy the boring Neymar and Mbappe combo, and yearned to go back to the left footed tank that is Haaland. Then this Odegaard card came along, and provided me with the perfect reason to return. It bought back memories of my FIFA 20 team featuring future stars Odegaard and storyline Thorsby as the GOATed Norweigian trio. For the first time ever, EA answered my prayers and provided me with an untradeable What If Odegaard - the rest, as they say, is history, as I slotted him (pre-upgrade) into my squad ready for Weekend League.
Pace
Odegaards pace is neither a huge disappointment nor incredibly impressive. He sits comfortably as a player who gets off the mark well and can outrun some defenders, but is being caught by the bog-standard Varane or Gomez. I honestly didn't really notice his pace, mostly as a result of him staying central and spending most of his time in game either carrying the ball forward in small bursts or passing it around on the edge of the box. It definitley won't blow you away, but is nothing to be sniffed at.
Shooting
The shooting stats on this card are all fairly average for this state in the game. For this reason I slapped a Hunter on mine and watched his finishing rise to 94 and his shot power to 91. He is certainly clinical in front of goal - it was rare a chance fell his way (on either foot; the 3* weak foot was no problem at all) that didn't end up in the net or rattle back off the woodwork. His shot power was the most impressive of all his stats, with low-driven, finesse shots, and regular efforts all being fired toward the unlucky goalkeeper with the force of a nuclear bomb behind it. His long shots were nothing to write home about at 88 - he didn't bag from outside the area for all of Weekend League - but did test the goalkeeper and, at the very least, the shots looked impressive.
Passing
The piece-de-resistance of this card. His passing was exceptionally clean and crisp across all 30 games of Weekend League, even when the gameplay was doing everything it could to misplace any pass from any of my players. The 94 vision is what makes it so special - there were at least two or three assists he made from me attempting to pass the ball outwide, before Odegaard's laser vision instead found a player in the crowded penalty area with just the 'keeper to beat. His threaded through balls are also worth mentioned, because they were unbelievable in sending players through on goal. Last but not least its worth mentioning the 90 free kick accuracy which resulted in some incredible attempts from anywhere between 20 and 32 yards that never failed to test the keeper and cause confusion for defenders on the rebound.
Dribbling
The close control on this card is genuinely something else. The way he turns is so silky and composed, and so when building up play on the edge of the box he's very good for suddenly driving into the box and pulling out a quick turn. The 5* skill moves are a lovely addition and really elevate him to the next level. He's about as slippery as can be before you get to the levels of Neymar and icons.
Defending
As a CAM I expected Odegaard to get back and help defend when needed. Let's just say it actively felt like he didn't want to and leave it at that. If I dragged him back to make a tackle he would usually make it, but then just go running off back towards the oppositions backline. It's safe to say he should definitely played as a CAM/CF, and not a CM or worse, a CDM.
Physical
Considering an overall physicallity rating of 75, I was pleasantly surprised when he wasn't totally bullied by everyone on the opposition team. Despite strength of 70 and aggression of 75, he held his own shoulder to shoulder against almost every defender I came up against, and I can't really recall a situation where he lost the ball as a result of being dispossesed (rather it was a too ambitious pass into a crowded penalty area). I didn't really notice the 51 jumping, and the 89 stamina was perfect to get him through extra time and to penalties if needed. I don't think he was substitued once across all 30 games.
This Odegaard card is a must have if you are an Arsenal fan, want to try something a bit different, have fond memories of his future stars, have a bit of fun with a new and interesting card or, like me, want that beautiful Norweigian connection at the top of the pitch. He certainly did not disappoint and I really enjoyed using him - he genuinely made Weekend League fun for me, and helped me to only my second Gold 1 of FIFA 21. Considering this card will, more than likely, be going up to 90, I cannot recommend him enough, and can guarantee he'll be a good addition to any squad that will just make everything a lot more fun.

I packed Odegaard by the quarantee what if player pack. iI have played with him 50 games and he is the key in my team he passes he scores he helps in the defense... I am not the best player (div 6). He is not the best player in the squad but in the top 3 for sure. Sorry for my English I am from Greece
