So first of all i went with Pope IF und Alisson in past.
Alisson had a good sweeper keeper playstyle and Pope was very good in 1v1.
Now i wanted to have a decent keeper who saves shots from every angle and every position.
A Schmeichel with Glove, who's got nearly every stat on 99 would be perfect for a decent price.
First of all i have to say that im not disappointed with him. I played now 13 wl matches and he never did something silly.
What I experienced is, that he is absolutly not good in catching balls mid air after a corner.
He seems to be too weak to get past some players expecially in corner situations.
Despite that, he made 2 3 brilliant saves and let a few good shots in.
Maybe a 82 Pope (hate him) would have saves 1 or 2 of these but who knows.
But one big pro compared to someone like Pope is that he always trys to clear the ball in a way, no opponents player can reach the second ball.
The thing that impressed me most beside his clearences is his way to pass.
Nearly every high through ball finds his mates and he easily outplayed the whole opponents defense with 1 ball multiple times.
Thats a big pro. On the ball hes superb.
Overall I think if you got some players left like me you can definatly do his SBC.

While Peter Schmeichel was not the best keeper I have seen, he has been amazing for me personally. I have used other GKs in the past like Alisson, Nick Pope, etc. He has had a drastic performance compared to my last GK Alisson. He has pretty well-rounded stats for a GK. In the last 20 games, I have used Peter Schmeichel he has been amazing letting only a few goals in from time to time. I have seen many reviews on him and people said things like "He is the worst GK", I have found this not true. I prefer him over any other keeper that I have used so far, especially in an Objective.

So I had been on the fence about Schmeichel. I am a big United fan and was in need of an Icon keeper for the type of squad I use. Rather than dump my fodder for his SBC, I just did his loan SBC and tried him out for the duration of his loan. What I found is that he was very good. He made most saves you'd expect any keeper to make. He was very good coming out and making saves similar to other sweeper keepers like Neuer and Ederson. All in all, Schmeichel was good and just like most good keepers in the game. But that was the problem. He was good just like most other keepers in the game. He wasn't other-worldly like his stats would suggest. He still gave up goals you'd think he'd save just like most keepers do. There wasn't anything special that made him a must-have keeper. I feel I would've had similar results had I used far cheaper keepers like Neuer, Alisson, Courtois, etc. All in all, PIM Schmeichel is a good keeper and I would definitely recommend him for anyone that desperately needs an Icon keeper for some reason or for anyone who's doing a United P&P squad (he's definitely better than De Gea in my opinion). However, if someone is looking for just a generally quality keeper for their squad, I would just go with any top-notch keeper like the ones I mentioned which will be far cheaper than Schmeichel. It's not because he flat out sucks as he wasn't bad for me. He's just too overvalued for how he plays, which is why I feel many have been disappointed in him.

I made this sbc hoping i would have that position filled till the end of the game but after 20WL games i realised this was the biggest mistake i made. He is just bad. He has all this fancy stats but cant win a 1vs1 using 82 rated Neto would be better, and that isnt all. On corners he cant grab the ball, he is so slow and with a simple ball roll the ball is past him and a easy goal. He is 193cm tall and weighs 92kg but he feels like a fridge he just doesnt go down, if the striker shoots it low 100% its going in. So in conclusion just skip this sbc, sabe your fodder for something nice and i feel bad for the souls that did him thinking he would be a great keeper. DONT DO HIM!

So first of all, this is my first review on a player and probably a random review. I did the Schmeichel SBC for about 200k and tbh I think it is a very good price. People probably think that a 93 rated prime moments Schmeichel would be very good considered his stats. The truth is he is bad and let me explain why. He has a really strange animation, he falls like a stone and he is making himself all the time small while reaching the Ball. I consider goals I wouldn't with a Neuer TOTY, Pope or even with Kevin Trapp. He has really good stats and because he is an Icon you can use him in any squads. Unfortunately, he is bad. In addition to that, he sucks after a corner because every time I took him out of the goal he immediately ran back into the goal.
But I should also mention that he was pretty decent in 1v1 situations for me and he also was pretty good facing pens. I always had the problem that i got the right corner but my goalkeeper just didn't want to jump to the corner in time and he did that pretty fast.

I don't want anyone else feeling this level of regret as I do right now. He is horrible, and I mean HORRIBLEEEE. The worst keeper I have used EVERRRR. If you're thinking about doing his SBC please don't you will regret it I promise. I am writing this so people don't make the same mistake I did in doing him. I've played 20 games with him now and I am estimating he's made about 6 or 7 saves in all of them combined. He doesn't save anything.

EA What did he do to you?? First off they take away his 2* skill moves from last year (why??) and then make him the worst keeper in this game.. cmon man he deserves better ffs
It´s really a shame how EA did him wrong, great stats and all that but he is damn horrible! it´s like no one is in goal when he starts in your team.
I have tried every good keeper in this game and I like Ederson the most, he is probably the most capped player in my club. I thought Peter would be similar and I just did Joe Hart this weekend (for links and I cant stand Pope) and me as a United fan went on and did him (without trying his loan card:() and I am literally shocked how fucking bad he is. If you thought Hart was bad try this guy loan out and you will think highly of Hart
Ederson makes saves when you think you have conceded a goal but this Peter concedes goals where you think the shots or shot scenario should be 99% saved.
It´s really baffling to me how fucking bad a 93 rated card can be. Im really going to put Ederson on 8 chem in my team rather than this shit I will probably throw him in some sbc in the coming days
