INTRO: Hi guys and welcome to this review on Sergio Busquets's player moments card. Im a Barca fan btw and I was very suprised when I saw this card on the SBC menu. I was really fast completing this card since there aren't really any usable Sergio Busquets cards over the past few years on FIFA. He was fitting in the first team so I could just try his card out without changing anything.
This will be a bit shorter review since I haven't tried so much, only a few games, I might talk a bit about my enjoyment with this card hope you don't mind or else you can just skip it :) . I will share my honest opinions in this review.
For a Barca fan this is a very funny card, a card were Busquets has got some decent pace :) . Apart from that this card didn't really improve my team that much, I just wanted to enjoy playing with Busquets a bit you know, this could be the last usable Busquets card on FIFA and i'm really sad to say so, ea is underrating this guy so much in real life, just like some other Barca fans tbh.
Medium/High workrates is very good imo for a CDM. He is tall and he can win headers even if those stats aren't the best. This guy really stood up in the defending and I sometimes laughed for pride when I saw that he got some pace, it was a rare view, but I enjoyed it every single moment. I used a Shadow chemstyle on him and that's the best one for sure as you can see on the stats. But now let's get into the overall stats:
PACE, 8/10: Not to bad, very decent and it's fun seeing you can finally use a Busquets card on FIFA. I wouldn't say he is that quick (if you know), but it's still usable.
SHOT, 5/10: I haven't tried any shots with him so can't really review this part. But I recognized that he was in good positioning both in the build up play and the defence, where he is everywhere.
PASS, 8/10: It hurts to see Busquets only got 83 passing overall. I know irl he doesn't get to spaces where he can cross, he doesn't take free kicks or really making any curved passes. But it still feels weird. An experienced Barca midfielder who has played here for 15 years only got 83 passing...
The passes you need from him in game though, he will execute them all good. He has good short pass, vision and Long pass. His passing is really good to use when you have defended and you can easily switch to the build up play.
DRIBBLE, 8/10: I don't really dribble with an CDM like you can imagine, but the first touch is exceptional, balance and agility is fine, 95 composure is more than great. Even in the tough and intensive moments, he won't give any passes away easily. The execution on this card is probably the best attribution i think. Some stats feels better than they really are. 3* skills you can't really do anything with, but with this card it's enough with the ball rolls :) .
DEFENCE, 10/10: In those matches I tried him out, he never did a foul from the tackles. All his sliding- and stand tackles are all inch-perfect. Nothing much to say really.
PHYSICAL, 8/10: Its good enough. 87 Stamina is precisely enough to play the whole 90 min, nothing wrong with the 87 aggression. The 81 strengh is a bit meh, I haven't really been much in those 50/50's but its definitely ok.
OUTRO: Tbh, I wouldn't spend the fodder or the coins for this card, if it wouldn't have been for Busquets. The card is definetly usable for La Liga squads and for me as a Barca fan I won't regret this desicion. I had fun using this card and that's what matters for me. 85 rated squad is quite expensive now when the fodder is quite expensive but it's fine. If you don't have La Liga squad or are a Barca fan, I would personally safe the coins and the fodder in that case.

Very good on and off the ball, not really stiff and always in good positions. Executes passes very well in any situation as he has very good short, long passing and vision, which is complemented with his 95 composure. His physicality is excellent as he lasts the whole game and is very strong and tall, and his pace is very good for a cdm/cm especially with a shadow. Even though his shooting is not the best, he still gets into very good positions for build up play. Overall, he is excellent as a deep lying playmaker that can defend exceptionally.

Sergio oh Sergio! This card is based on 08/09 Champions League. I was a bit hesitant to do the SBC for him seeing as I had 87 Essien in the spot Sergio is in now and that card is very strong. I took a chance and did it. I am glad I did. Sergio is not the fastest CDM, but he handles pressure well, makes immaculate passes, and is very agile. He just feels in a special class when he is dribbling out of pressure. I was severely lacking that from Essien, that killer pass to to set your offense free. Whether dribbling out of the back or bossing the midfield Sergio does it.
He always seems to be in position where he is needed most. I find myself surprised where he shows up sometimes.Opponent have a break away? Sergio somehow is there to bolster the defense. Pressing the opponents box? Sergio is there to add that pass to breakdown their defense. His vision is good also. He makes passes many others with higher passing stats can only dream of. His 3/3 star stats don't seem to hinder him. Keep in mind I use him mainly to diffuse the high press many players seem to use lately, and break down the whole team in the box defense tactics I run into a lot. He feels to me a much better player than his stats indicate which are already impressive.
When he is out of sorts which isn't often he can be bumped off the ball easily sometimes, and recovery in those instances is a bit slow, which does as said in other reviews reveal some base stats at time from his regular card. It has yet to cost me a goal and frankly it could just be FIFA being FIFA at times.
Offensively I don't feel he will score much, but he assists a lot due to his impressive passing. The 83 base is a lie, his key stats for short and long passing are more than adequate. I used a shadow in him for the pace and defense boost because well pace is king in FIFA 21 in most cases.
Stamina he is real good, unless you play high press all game I don't see why you'd need to sub him off.
Tip: Drop between defenders and cover center for instructions seem to be best for him.
I have used most of the top CDM's in the 300-800K range this year and Sergio simply is better I think for me at least. The SBC for him is a bargain in my opinion.

Damn, I've played FIFA for years and never thought I'd see a Busquets card like this. The second I saw him come out I did him for about 60-70k with untradeables. Worth it. As KSI would say he's BEAST he's more cracked than Justin. I used shadow and it felt like a third leg had sprouted from him, he was catching up to players like Wimo Terner and Trashford. Some of the stats look a little sus; however, in-game they completely change. His dribbling feels really nice and he could turn and move quickly in the midfield area. He had insane positioning and could cut off multiple passing lanes at once. Speaking of passing lanes, this dude found every single one and bagged a few assist in the games I used him. I even play him on 8 chem and he's still one of the best mids I've used. Overall, he's 100% worth the money.

For the past ten years Sergio Busquets has been the crucial pivot in Barcelona's golden generation, and after EA finally released a good SBC with this 80 pace Busquets, it was a card that i thought I must complete immediately. Although I wasn't disappointed with the card, it didn't blow me away by any means. With a shadow Busquets boasts a clean 90 pace and 95 defending, including a magnificent 99 interceptions and 95 defensive awareness, which are, for me, the most prominent stats on the card. He read the game very well, and as the stats implied, it really was his defensive awareness and interceptions that set Busquets apart from your average Joe.
Really if I was to compare this card to someone else, it would be the recent Jefferson Lerma card, who also has a taller frame, and similar pace, but due to both players stocky frames, they both struggle in a long chase, but can get towards an attacker to block their run very well. and that's my next grievance with Busquets, his frame, with a High & Average+ body type and a 6'2 frame, he struggles in a dribbling sense, even with the improved stats in dribbling, and it lying at an impressive 86 dribbling, on paper it should be a lot better then it is.
Realistically, this Busquets card is one that doesn't fit what is deemed the meta in FIFA 21, but if you play roaming fullbacks, and want someone who can ping a ball across to them with 86 long passing and 87 vision, he hits your wide players very well, creating lots of space quickly, with a direct long ball.
Personally, if I could undo it, I wouldn't have done this card, if I'm thinking FIFA 21 Meta, he doesn't fit at all, but as a fun, nostalgic card that can become a passing pivot in the midfield, i have absolutely no regrets, and that's my exact thinking for anyone that wants to complete this card, yes he's a fun, nostalgic card, but if you really want to get up to that next rank in FUT champs, then maybe this isn't the guy for you
