I've had his previous hard aswell (84 inform) with 150 games and 300+ goals. I left an revieuw on that card aswell.
To start I'll give you my lineup and idea of play
I play in 41212(2)
84Boadu 86Wout
88depay
86 de Jong 84 Koopmeijners (soon 86)
87 Fer
77Jetro Willems 87 Hinterregger 90 van Dijk 87 Arnold
76 Ronnow *he plays better than Trapp for me.
So my tactics are fairly standard, but I do have the backs to get involved in the play.
If you thought your parents had a happy marriage, you're wrong. A happy marriage is Alexander Arnold with Wout Weghorst. My Arnold has 320 games with 110 assist, and probably like 80 to my boy Wout.
With that said its clear to say that Wout is amazing in heading, his position combined with 84 jumping and 99 heading acc make it impossible to defend him, not to forget that he is 197cm. He is literally bigger than my future, its insane.
His pace, its not bad. It really is not. He makes great runs, and with a hunter chem style he has 91 sprint speed. He is giant ingame, when he makes a run you'll see him, time the trough ball good and he will run past Gomes Varane, and even inform Walker. I am not joking.
And because of the squad around him, you can always use Depay or Boadu if you're struggeling, it works amazing together.
His shooting, oh boy his shooting ey, this man shootings is faster than the avarage housewife at wallmart sale days, and more accurate than the scientist finding cures for corona. its simply insane. Every shot is a threath, when he gets the ball the opponents goal keeper is literally pooping different colors at the same time, thats how dangerous it is.
Longshots is ok, not amazing but I've scored some bangers with his 84 card, and this 86 feels better. His curve is 45, which is not much, even, compared to Shakira's thighs its embarrasing. Alltho ingame I didn't really notice it, you can finesse shots with him for days, for me its fine.
Dribbling is ok, it is. He isn't Messi, but for me sometimes he is. I am used to using players clumsier than a drunk Polish guy trying to fix his leaking roof. He has 87 ball control 91 composure and 91 reactions. Which means he can keep the ball to his feet. When you walk, turn he'll send defenders in other directions, use sprint to get away, walk again turn poof another van Dijk send to Spain. Really, if you know what you're doing he can create his own chances, run past 5 defenders and score.
His passing is better than his previous cards, but he certainly ain't Pirlo.
I didn't really defend with him, but sometimes he will be active when the opponents has the ball cuz of his work rates, I've scored several goals when he stole the ball and just banged it in. Cheers.
That said his high high work rate doesn't make him out of position, he'll be there. Also he has enough stamina to be useful, even after bringing his daughter to school on his back while dragging the car behind him, to eventually drag the car to the gas station because his wife forgot to fill up, then drive to the game, do a full warm up, play 110 minuts and he'll still have stamina left. He's good.
Fysical, well, he is big strong tall and has 88 aggression, if he catches you stealing his bike you'll be pushed up to another universe. Ingame he is hard to get off the ball, 91 sprint speed and 91 strength make him hard to catch once he broke trough. Its useful
In the first game I played with this card he made 3 goals. Second game 2, and the rest is history. He now has 10 games and 26 goals. He is insane for me, and he might just be good for you too. Give him a try.
91 sprint speed with hunter
91 strength
84 jumping being 197cm
clinical finisher
shot power combined with composure
87 ball control
heading and positioning
I'd say passing a little, its not really bad tho.
He has 3 star weak foot, many will see this as a negative. For me it felt like 4 stars tho. Sometimes he makes a banger with his left making you check futbin again if it really was 3 star, but it's a little too inconsistent for me to make it in my main revieuw.
Firstly, a disclaimer, he isn't for everyone, he is only for those select elite players who know how to use players other than Neymar or Rashford. Right, onto the review!
He is a beast, he finishes everything inside the box, longshots could be a bit better at 76 but he is more of an in the box poaching striker. His finishing is sublime, this goes hand in hand with the 90 shot power resulting in top corner rockets everytime. I noticed the 3 star weak foot at some times but it was not a problem most of the time, felt more like a 4*. Wout's main attribute is definately his height and physicality, he can shove off and outjump Van Dijk with his towering height of 6 foot 6 inches. Whilst I was using him, I discovered something that works to Wout's advantage, Bridging. I know what you're saying, bridging is arguably the meta skill move of FUT21, but it is normally executed and perfected with fast players like Mbappe or Neymar, I introduce, the Wout bridge. Where Wout lacks in speed on his bridging, he excells in strength and agression, playing the ball infront of himself and then bodying the CB like it was nothing works 9 times out of 10, then bang it across goal beating the keeper 10 times out of 10. His passing is average for a striker, I am not going to lie but he does have a very consistant short pass, so if you find yourself on the halfway line with Wout, do not go for the long ball, just pass and go. I played him alongside Joao Victor FUT Freeze and UEL Quincny Promes who made up for the lack of agility coming from Wout. Let me get something straight, do not try and left stick dribble through the opponent's defence, he will fall on his arse. His 91 reactions and 87 ball control make him a threat when recieving the ball, just turn and shoot it works every time. Finally, his heading is ridiculous, I think he is the best header in Fifa 21, his height is 6 foot 6, his jumping with a hawk is 94 and his base heading accuracy is 99, corners can always be won unless the keeper comes out. No, he cannot outjump a keeper, I tried many, many times.
In conclusion, Wout Weghorst is not for everyone, I would not personally recommend him if you want to go 30-0 in FUT Champs, as much as I am against the meta, this is just a fun card. He can be used in such a way that he absolutely destroys everyone he comes up against, he is just a change of pace, also, scoring with him is extremely satisfiying. I used a Hawk with him to boost pace, longshots and physicality to basically max it out. I played 4 games of Division Rivals (DIV 3) and scored 8 goals with 2 assists.
