Before using El Coco Lamela, I almost exactly view in my mind how he was going to play. Being from Italy, I remember when he was just a kid coming in Rome giving his argentinian left foot funkyness to the Serie A. He had his ups and downs, but he was such a fun player to watch. Needless to say I am loving dribbling with this card. He always had this tendency of ball-rolling and replicating it in FUT is so enjoyable. His pace is good but he does not feel like a pacey player. If you want him, it's probably because of his delicious technique.
In fact, he is one of the most technical players I have tried this year. His long finesse shots are just pure magic, and with the 90 shot power, they just go in so fast. What I love about him is also his strength: keeping the ball far away from the defender and then blasting a finesse comes so easy. I was able to score a magnificent goal protecting the ball against both Desailly and Varane in his last match. His 98 aggression also comes very useful on offense as he often attacks the defenders just by his own will. He is very similar to 88 Palacio and 91 Suarez on this matter.
Overall, he is so enjoyable to play with, especially if you like him as a real player. He is more like a mobile player capable of dribbling in very short spaces albeit he can feel a little lanky, which is obvious given his height. If you have the ball in the last 25 metres and you don't see an autoblock coming (SIKE!), just shoot. Although he has 3* WF, expect some misses, but don't be that afraid to try with his right as his shooting is very powerful.
Shooting outta space
Strange but fun dribbling
Very good strength and aggression for such a technical player
Pace is not a con, but he does not feel that pacey
I've used both Messi and Lamela this fifa and they are seriously like the same card, both kinda fast but not insanely fast, he's just a little worse at dribbling. I would 100% take him over the other 2, I mean he's the best for fodder eventually anyway. I'd watch my video but it isn't the greatest because I forgot to record the rivals games and couldn't be bothered to afterwards seens as he isn't really good enough for my team and it's not worth me losing rival points and what not. I still think you get a feel of what he's good at and what he isn't.
