After I finally finished the Messi potm earlier this week, I thought I wouldn't do any sbc players for a while, but this guy came out for a very cheap price I knew I should do him. Even though he has a 3* weak foot his weak foot definitely feels like 4 stars. His dribbling is super smooth and nice with insane agility and balance that feels perfect in game for a skiller. His 5 star skills are super fun and with his dribbling combo is insane. He is fast enough to get past most defenders but isn't completely blazing fast. His shooting is also very good and the finesse shot trait is noticeable and great in game. For a striker he has really good passing with no times where I noticed any problems. One of the best parts of his card is that his physicals are great and he even won a couple header goals. If you're thinking about doing him you should, he is quite cheap, plays super well in game, and is just a fun different player. Not to mention his rat tail is insane in game.

When I saw this card I immediately thought that he would be OP af, but I waited on Inceptions review to see if he was really as good as his stats suggest. He didn't come very good out of the review but then Zwebecks review was uploaded. I watched that, and as usual Zwe doesn't go really in depth, but what I did see is that his dribbling was far better than in Inceptions video. I decided to still get him, and wow that was the best decision of my FIFA career. I'm playing him as a left striker together with Ronaldo 92, and Palacio totally dominated all my attacks. Ronaldo transformed to a 2nd striker that gives more assist then he scores goals. But that wasn't an issue at all because Palacio bangs in three goals a game in Div 2 Rivals. After the patch I really struggled with scoring, but Palacio with a hawk chem style helped me out totally. If you have the coins or untradable players, and he fits your team, JUST DO HIM. He isn't cheap but also not expensive and especially not if you see what you'll get back. The only things I noticed is that his weak foot of course isn't amazing, but he still bangs in those simple finishes with his left. Also, his long passing isn't excellent so don't try to give a lot of long trough balls with him. Just use him as the 'get in behind' striker because his short passing is just good. The biggest pro's are his neymarish dribbling and acceleration, and his edge of the box finesse shots if you get the angle right. His strength isn't amazing but he still manages to win a lot of balls using his aggression. I haven't used a chem style other than hawk, but hawk works amazing, so I definitely recommend that. His work rates were fine too, they were never a problem for me, he makes quite good runs.

I don't have many words to say about him; and as you can tell i'm very bored so yeah, he's quick as fuck, amazing a shooting, alright passing, insane dribbling, 5* sm, super agile and lean, decent stamina. And pretty strong surprisingly. But a pain in the arse to link.
Futbin didn't except my review after i made it in 3 hours from him coming out, and yet take 20 hours to except the 1st reviews. And still don't review it then. :( rip

So you want a Maradona like player from the same nations and in a league which needed a class CAM/CF that's better than just Mkhitariyan HL? For only 200k? Rodrigo Palacio comes at a time in FIFA where the game is not considered dead like when his flashback was released last FIFA so his popularity will be much better and he should be better received by the fans. An easy comparison is Papu Gomez TOTGS and Dybala moments. His dribbling is better than both Gomez and Dybala, with hawk is the quickest, same shooting as Dybala, better defensively and with defensive work rates, as well as being better physically, his skill moves is needed to make him feel extra special on the ball. His two downsides are his week foot (but Dybala moments has a similar issue) and passing which I noticed in particular due to him playing CAM for me in a 41212 (2). I have Mkhitaryan HL striker (5* week foot) and El Shaarway as strikers, and this dynamic works a treat. I tried both Maestro and Hawk and Maestro works better due to passing inefficiency for a CAM but hawk works better as an attacker. But he gets in great positions and standard passing to attackers worked fine in WL as he managed 11 assists and 6 goals when writing this. Overall, if you didn't do Dybala, do this, he is a Maradona for 200k

When I saw this card in the SBC section, I knew I had to get him, because I had a lot of fun with his fb in fifa 20, and he also has a rattail, which will be perfect next to my moments Baggio's mullet as soon as I get him. In addition, he also links to one of my favorite and most popular SBC cars this year, moments Dybala. And, as soon as I used this card in a game, I was happy I did him, because the stats combined with the hair make this card one of the most fun I have used this entire year. The dribbling is insane, and his pace feels even higher than the 93 it says on the card, probably feel closer to 96 or 97. This card is a threat from through balls, and also has 5 * skills, which is not a big deal for me, as I don't really do many skills, but this card would be a dream for any skiller. The one glaring downside with this card is the weak foot, which is not the worst, but also not the best at 3*. But, all in all, if you are looking to have fun with a striker, this is your guy.

Lean body type- feels faster on and off the ball
Shooting- not the most clinical, but perfectly fine in most scenarios
5* skills- combined with dribbling stats make this card extremely elusive
Finesse shot trait- best attacking trait in the game, combined with 90 curve makes the finesse shots op
Dribbling- well rounded in the mid 90s, and that 97 ball control makes this card a nightmare for any defense
Aggression- Wins a lot of tackles and interceptions high up the field
High-High work rates- Maybe only a pro for some people, but he often takes up deeper position, which I like
Strong Link to Dybala- nice.
Hair- Rattail <3
Long shots- Even when boosted, are not very good
Strength- Lean body type also makes him weak, but it is worth it for the pace and dribbling
3* WF- Not bad near the 6yd box, but anywhere much farther out is unreliable
Sometimes takes too big of touches on break aways- dunno why, not that big of a deal
Long passing- Really nitpicking here, but the long passing makes this card not really work is as a CAM, if you want to do that
I am terrible at the game and this man makes me feels like anders. i'm an sbc addict and I've used potm felix, eoae rooney, moments dybala, headliners mahrez - palacio is the best and it's not even close. he feels insane on the ball, he's almost impossible to tackle, he's got even better pace then what the stats say, and he's an automatic goal from anywhere within 20 yards. 5 star skill moves is cool if you're actually good enough at the game to use them (i'm not). 3 star weak foot is a lie. He's also incredibly easy to link (dybala, lautaro, papu, etc.) and a perfect budget sbc if you own a poverty club like me and can't actually be bothered to buy players. keep in mind that i suck and this could all be completely invalid if you're better than gold 2 or 3. use hawk

I'll start by saying that I'm an okay player, this game is more a hobby for me than anything else. That being said, this man is by far the best card I've used so far. I bought him to replace my rulebreaker Lukaku, and I'm so glad I did. The SBC cost me about 70k, but even if you pay 200, this card is worth at least double. His dribbling is some of the silkiest I've felt in this year's game, and every time he shoots it goes in. Seriously, every single aspect of the card is better than I thought it would be. Earlier today, he outjumped VVD to head one in off the bar, and finished a couple of filthy finesse shots in the top bin. He does everything you could want him to, plus the odd animation I thought were exclusive to Icons, Messi, etc. For 200k, it'd be hard to find a better striker on the market.

Is he a cheap Maradona? In short, yes. He isn't going to be better than Maradona, don't get me wrong. But for 200k he's class. Especially at this stage of the game, where 200k isn't much I would strongly recommend completing this sbc.
Stats - all of the ones that matter are class.
Skill moves - Very useful this year.
Links - There's a lot of people who get strong links to him.
Traits - Good traits especially the finesse shot one.
Price - Very good for his price imo.
Card design - I like the card design.
Just a fun card to use.
Not very clinical in 1 on 1s for me.
Workrates - High/High isn't good.
Weak foot - Despite having a 3 star weakfoot, in game it feels like he has a 5.
Honestly one of the best strikers I've ever used and I would even say that he is on par with my 90 rated Mbappe. With a hawk this man is insane, boasting basically maxed out shooting, dribbling, pace and physical. His high curve stats and finesse shot trait means that you can basically take a shot from anywhere outside the box and expect the ball to go in, regardless of what his long shots stats say. What about his weak foot? Well since weak foot isn't that big of a deal this fifa, especially when you're inside the box, I guarantee you, he will still score sick goals on his left foot.
