Genuinely super good. I made a review on this guy and i not gonna lie i was expecting so much less than what he showed me. He is amazing all round and seriously he took my just 1 hour/ if not less. Just an amazingly fun card that doesn't take that long and i guarantee will be very useful for a lot of people. Even if you dont want to use him you can always use him as fodder or possibly just keep him as a souvenir..... Also btw, simple tip for the objective. Just use fast players up front (gks). Joe hart did a madness at st.
(IK there will be lots of fake reviews on this guy with like '100 goals in 3 games' or something, so futbin please don't accept them, it can make it a pain for me as i try to get reviews out quickly because it really helps my yt and they get in the way, anyways be sure to check out my video and see some 5* sm on a gk :D)
I'll start this review by informing you that I've used Big Steve's gold card (just Steve) since the start of the game. I use a ligue 1 CB, and Steve was the best keeper in ligue 1 for me. I've tried Keylor Navas, but he didn't perform like Steve (so I popped cheaky Navas into an SBC). Steve had that spark and provided some jaw dropping saves for me. When this FUT birthday Steve (Big Steve) came out, I knew I had to get my hands on him. When I saw the objectives, I was at first shocked, but intrigued by having to play with 11 keepers. The objectives only took me an hour to complete thanks to Steve and some of his friends (Jordi Masip and Asenjo), and it was quite fun. Anyways, after the objectives, Big Steve was home. Using Big Steve for about 15 games, I couldn't believe how much of an upgrade he was from his gold. Big Steve does a great job of getting a hand to near posts shots, so he's got great positioning. Something I always look for in keepers is their ability to make mistakes. Big Steve does not make simple mistakes, which I love about him. However, unfortunately Big Steve does have some flaws, but even the great players do. His passing is mediocre and he is often hesitant in the box (even with the instruction come out for crosses) He also lacks a trait that I have enjoyed in many keepers, which is saves with feet. It's often a very helpful trait in close encounters, which may be a reason for his hesitancy when making saves.
Overall, I love this card. I think he's a great option for people who need french/ligue 1 links. He's a fun player too because he has the five star skills (yes big steve has a wonderful elastico) However, like many keepers he does have some flaws.
NOTE: I hold the opinion that goalkeepers work different for everyone. For instance, Ter Stegan is great for me but I don't like Van De Sar. Keep this in mind if you have extremely differing opinions.
I completed this card in 40 mins and i was looking for a new GK anyway so i decided to complete him for fun since he has 5* Skills as well. He is honestly the best French and Ligue one goalie in the game and genuinely fun to use. i would highly recommend him for u to use / try out and if ur looking for a GK this is a good one for u
When I saw big Steve as a free objective it was like a dream come true for me. I was quite excited to use him, albeit on 8 chemistry. Unfortunately big Steve didn't meet my expectations, mainly because he really isn't that big. In 16 games he has conceded more shots that were aimed in the top half of the net than all other keepers I've used combined throughout FIFA 21. My opponents would shoot from 30+ yards and they seemed to find the back of the next far more than normal with big Steve in between the sticks. Unless the shots are aimed directly at him, Steve tends to struggle to keep the ball out.
Good reflexes allow for impressive close range saves
5 star skills? If you like rainbow flicking your opponents with your GK when you have a comfortable lead.
Shuts down anytime the opponent unleashes a long range effort
Shots aimed towards the corners or high up are essentially a guaranteed goal for your opponent
I have been searching for a great GK for a while now. I could have easily gone for Pope but really didn't want to be that boring, and Joe Hart hasn't impressed me in the 100+ games I have used him in, so when I saw this card I was excited!
I had used his gold card for objectives in the past and he was always reliable so had high hopes that this would be a big improvement ... and I was right.
In the 400+ games I have played so far this FIFA, I have only had one other instance of my GK getting Man of the Match .... Mandanda pulled off 11 saves in his first game for me and got a Man of the Match already.
He has replaced Joe Hart in my team and will remain within my team until I decide I want to move Van Der Sar in permanently (waiting on a cheaper price).
I highly recommend doing these objectives, which took me no longer than an hour, and try out this card ... worst case scenario is if you don't like him, put him in an SBC as fodder.
