Hello everyone, i hope everyone reading this is well and staying safe. Once again FIFA have released another player worth way too much for this stage of the game, but at this point im not surprised. During Fut birthday, i was lucky enough to pack the new FB Hermoso untradeable which led to me later completing the FB Kondogbia who are both absolutely brilliant. So, to keep the new Atletico theme trending i decided to bite the bullet and chance completing Saul, i only spent roughly 35k on both sbcs combined which was fairly satisfying. I am not going to indulge into what I got from the packs, im sure you can guess the outcome! In game i have chosen to play the 5-2-1-2 and Saul is playing as the CAM in this formation. The chemistry style i placed on him would be the engine as i slightly wanted to improve his agility and balance. In game he feels comfortable and in control of the ball. His pace is good, hes certainly no Adama but hes got the speed to skip past deep lying midfielders and occasionally the opposition centre-backs. His shooting is pretty average, he has "finished his dinner" when he needed to and i certainly do not have any complaints about this part of his game. Next, we move onto his passing, by far this would be his best stat, short or long this man could put a ball on a sixpence, he splits the play expertly and he opens the game up. Out of the games i have played with him i am certain he has not misplaced more than ten passes which is exquisite. His dribbling is good, not great, i do not think the 95 dribbling on an engine is totally justified, but he is not far off it, even with an engine he was not as agile as i would typically want my attacking midfielder but i cannot complain he certainly makes up for it in other areas of his game. Right, moving on to his next stat, defending, i must admit this is his worst stat, there are some interceptions in game i would have expected him to be able to pick up but he did not, also when defending a lead, he does not really maintain the best position but that is the consequence i pay for playing him on an engine. Finally, his physical is good, Saul is not bullied off the ball and he wins most of his headers which is neat. His 4-star weak foot and skills are good enough, i am not really a guy who has flashy skills in my locker but if i was being meticulous i would have liked a five-star weak foot to add more variation to his game.
Overall, is he worth the price? Just after the turn of the year, maybe. Now? No, not this close to team of the season, if you had a LaLiga team or are a fan of Atletico then he is a decent option but, in the end, FIFA have priced him way too high, id value him around just under the two hundred thousand mark but that is me, he will certainly remain in my team for the time being but come TOTS a better replacement could be found.

Pace- 92
Great pace. No problems here. 10/10. loved the fact that he was so tall despite being so fast.
SHOOTING-89
Amazing. I played him in a variety of positions and it was great. He can finish from anywhere, and the 4* SM and 4* WF are godsends
PASSING- 84
really decent. He doesn't have a good curve (80) but his long passing is above average and the short passing is out of this world. Don't put him on FKs though, you'll regret it. However, dont try to use him for a long ball or to switch the ball from one side to the other, the 80 CURVE does end up showing itself.
DRIBBLING-91
very good, despite him being 6'. The lean body type definitely helps and yeah, the agility and balance arent the great but they do the job
DEFENDING-79
not the best in any sense, but you can play him on full chem in a 3 atb as a wide midfielder and he is ideal for that. Slap an anchor and you've got yourself someone who will boss the Right side of the park
PHYSICALITY- 83
Strength and aggression are not the best but what matters is stamina, and he's got an abundance of that
VERDICT
NO. i understand this may come as a surprise after the review, but as i saw that untradable 86 Llorente and that 87 cucurella i couldn't really think why i needed Saul. Llorente has comparable stats despite being 200K cheaper and tradable. I understand the 4 star 4 star combo is missing, but would you really pay 200K for that? Plus you have cucurella who has the 4 star 4 star and is 300K cheaper. Overall, if you have the fodder, id recommend spending it on Neres or someone, and if you have that 87 cucurella I'd recommend giving him a try, or even buying that Llorente
