I was using De Ligt this Wl (Shadow CS) partnered with Lacroix Tots, Baku Tots, and Cuadrado Tots and managed Elite 2 with 32 tackles out of 41 completed. As a preliminary note, De Ligt does feel meta, especially if he gets that +2 upgrade (1 of 3 completed so far)
So, he is one stocky CB. Weight, height, and the High + Average body type is definitely present. However, not so noticeable. Prior to this card, I was using the Showdown Zagadou card with Lacroix, and I have to say, this guy felt so much better on the ball and in tackles despite Zagadou's ratings being better in comparison. De Ligt positions himself just as a CB would, very similar to VVD. His High Defensive WR does go well with his current 83 base pace as he does catch up quickly to attackers. When I say attackers, he surprisingly caught up to anybody. I realized that his long leg reach plays the crucial aid to his pace just as Varane's since September...
His agility is 67 and dribbling is 78 as of yet, so he definitely is not a quick turner by any means. However, I felt like it wasn't as stiff as lets say Zagadou SD, VVD Gold, De Vrij TOTS, Marquinhos TOTS. In fact, I felt as if he is just Varane with a different look, yeah that seems about right. He does the auto blocks very well, and his tackling animations are on point most of the time. The only issue I've had was with his physicality at times. Although he successfully tackles the opponents, sometimes you are the victim of sticky dribbling with De Ligt. But I hope that this minor issue will be sorted shortly after The Netherlands goes onto winning a few more matches (Goodluck to all, may the team that deserves wins !)
So all in all, A tough, persistent, rather quick, and well positioned CB that will probably get upgraded to minimum 96, and definitely carry your team up. And for the current price (281,000 Coins - 14.06.2021) he is just an insane bargain.

What a card, what a player, what a player pick. His base card is pretty much exactly how he is (with a shadow) perfect defending, crazy strength and reasonable pace but nothing crazy pace wise, agility and balance (general dribbling) is a little low however he still has very solid composure. His skill moves is sadly only 2* so c'mon netherlands get him to a 5* 5* xD. I believe that he him getting 96 is almost guaranteed as they already have 1 win and just have to play Austria and North Macedonia in their next 2 games within their group. With that every win in the knockout is in an upgrade. So realistically speaking if you look at Netherlands as there expectations and their position in the world they're probably a top 5 nation rn, which most likely means the semi finals, or 5 wins making him a 98 rated card. The only thing he lacks a little bit of is his pace, but with an expected +4 this card's pace will be perfectly usable and his physicals/ defending will be perfect. I'm sure that if in that possible +4 they give him maybe a +6 or more pace overall that this card will be perfectly fine with an engine so you can increase that agility and balance (one thing that a lot of people don't know is that off the ball with defenders agility does come in a lot, so a lot of the reason some defenders are better is because of that - so fullbacks naturally have higher of them 2 stats and therefore are better in that part.... + obviously the pace). Very linkable with a very easy country and a decent league + team. I'm so gassed to have packed/ picked this card and if you do pack him tradeable i'd recommend holding onto him as I believe that 220k is very low rn and for a player that could be 98.... Is about 2 or 3x cheaper than what he should be.
9.8/10, I reckon' he is a 9.6/ 9.7 rn, but in the future with an upgrade I'm sure he will easily reach that 9.8 - in the video are clips from some games that I played with him (at the end I included a beautiful tackle from a frendlies game that I played against my dad that got ruled as a foul, idk how it was a foul but anyways just look at the reach on that slide... GEESE).
