I bought this card to use alongside Koulibally and have since used him with Davinson Sanchez, and Van Dijk and there is a reason he isn't the one being replaced. Although his speed isn't the best he makes up for it in agility and how light he feels without being weak. He is not easily dribbled past and always seems to be in the right place at the right time. You will think I am taking the piss but I prefer him to Van Dijk because of how smoothly he controls.
I picked up De Ligt quite early in the game, after having a lot of problems at the back. And Let me tell you, this man made all my problems go away. There is no hiding in the fact that I'm a Juventus supporter, but I managed to not use him in FIFA 20. With this new found pace upgrade to his name, he is simply incredible. He is incredibly stong, good with the head and incredibly fast with a shadow. I have never seen a card be worth 8k and play like my other CB (Van Dijk) these two paired up are just incredible! I used to use Manolas before I packed Van Dijk, and it was honestly the most broken cheap CB duo I've ever used. Yes! Better than Smalling and Bailly!
4 star week foot with good passing
Great reactions
Good Pace
very strong
The cleanest tackling I've ever seen
GOATED slide tackles
Agility and balance are my only two complaints
Stamina (Even though you don't notice it a lot)
Passing out of the back, but it's balanced out with the 4-star weak foot
I had an untradeable De Ligt in my club, and when Sandro Tonali PM came out, I thought he was perfect for the challenges. Paired with Luiz Felipe at CB, they were rock solid. His pace was surprisingly good, and he could keep up with the likes of Victor Osimhen, Kevin Lasgna and Keita Balde. He blocked everything, and nothing really got past him. His 4* wf could hit passes on both feet. His stamina was good, and he outmuscled almost everyone, including Andres Tello and Duncan. His defending was pretty superb, and doesn't really need much improving. He's pretty clunky, so I wouldn't recommend him as a CDM. Overall, if you're looking for a CB, buy him.
