Just not quite there

After switching around my squad a lot and wanting to try different players, my eye fell on this card. 400k off course is a lot (my most expensive non-UT player) but he would fit very nicely alongside varane and his stats seemed promising. Sadly though he's not the one for me. He just always kinda fell short. His 83 acceleration (with shadow) definitely isn't bad, but it also isn't really that great and in the box i felt he was always just a tad too slow.

His physicality was really great though. This guy is a tank for 90 or even a 120 minutes and he is strong enough to fend anyone off.

Most disappointing was his defending though. With that shadow his boosted stats seemed amazing, but really, they didn't feel like it. His sliding tackles felt really good but his standing tackles were just not there. Every challenge felt like a gamble and he missed balls i expected him to get. Maybe it had got to do with his positioning but he often felt just not quite there...

All and all, he's definitely not a bad CB, but just not worth 400K, buy Gimenez rulebreaker for 200k less who feels like a better CB and is a lot cheaper.

-Surprisingly good in the air for his height, even scored a few corner goals

-I really liked his AI defending, his positioning and auto blocks were very nice

-defending, he felt insecure and was really unpredictable

-acceleration, he just couldn't keep up, mostly on short spaces

-price, 400k should be a premium defender, but he just wasn't worth it, there are better options for a lot less

Incredible. Interceptions and Strength are the standout attributes but do not sleep on his overall improvements in other departments this year. At present (07/10/2020) he is hovering at 30K. I would advise making it a priority getting him into your team. If pace is an issue for you with CDM, work your tactics to stay get him to stay back and cover middle.
