There are much better options

first of all, I am a Gold 1 player. This card is incredible by the looks of it. Very good sprint speed, good defending, and physicals. However, somehow he is very bad. I used Varane, Klostermann, and Boateng Moments and can say that he is worse than all of them. He probably feels slow due to his acceleration and it really shows. Even the big man Boateng is faster than him. Also maybe it was because I paired him up with Boateng but he felt very short. He is a live card which is a good investment but I really couldn't stand this card. You can find much better CB's for that price.

SUPA UPA!

Pretty cheesy title I know, but that shows how I highly rate this card already. I packed this bad boy out of my 84+ player pick and was pretty excited to use him in my Bundesliga/Eredivisie hybrid. Just wow...

Some things never change in FIFA, and one of them is certainly the importance of fast centre backs. This enables you to catch up with fast strikers and correct a positional mistake. Upamecano is one of the best defenders in the game. I'll start with that. If you know how to use him right, he'll never disappoint. He body checks everyone in the game, never fails. His slide tackles are insane. His standing tackles are just as good. He also scores many headers as well.
