Great Value, Great Defender

It isn't often that you come across a good prem&england replacement for Gomez, but when I saw his sbc I leapt at the chance. I kind of mauled the rest of my team to get him, but I had high hopes. He lived up to them. He is an absolute monster, winning every header, and intercepting and tackling anything that came his way. Pace was an occasional let down, but with Walker on his right and a pacey cb on his left, it meant that it wasn't too much of a problem. I found that not only was his defending out of this world, but he could easily play as a cdm if you wanted too. 79 dribbling and 75 passing is damn good for a cb, so if you want him to play as a cdm, I doubt you'd be disappointed. Great card, great value!

His defending is incredible, he can do anything

Incredibly versatile, can dribble to the halfway line sometimes, and plays great long balls

Dominant in the air and everywhere else.

Pace sometimes, so having quick defenders around him is a must

Succumbs to high pressure, it's sometimes better to get rid of the ball than risk getting caught out with him.

Gives away penalties too much, and gets cards too often, be careful!

Is it a good price?

For me it was a great card, yes, Joe Gomez is faster and cheaper, but I want him to defend, not to be my LW. And his pace isn’t bad at all, 150k isn’t so expensive and you can use fodders, I got him for 50k. And his passes and dribbling is great for a CENTRE-BACK. Plus it really nice to have a defender with 4* wf and 3 skills, something that most defenders don’t have, something to consider too is that he has great agi...

Surprisingly Good!

First time writing a review so here goes nothing. I had Joe Gomez (like everyone else) in the back and paired him up with Varane. Did Stones for free with all the untradeables I have prepared for TOTY so I didn't sacrifice a lot for him and didn't sacrifice much fodder. Awesome value

Most of you guys have been saying this SBC is useless because of joe gomez. At first I thought pretty much the same but I am/was tired of using the same meta players over and over. So I decided to grab this card anyway.
