Player Review

85 - FUT Future Stars
5.0
Very decent CB, cheap beast
By ballinpete, 17-02-2021

Hello everybody!

Time for my first review: I am a Div 2, Gold 2 player who just plays for fun.

Due to getting bored of playing with Joe Gomez I was thinking about alternatives last week. I pulled Headliner Hernandez untrade (lucky me) and also did Tonali, which is why he just fits really well in my hybrid squad. I am starting Dalot as LB and then switch him ingame to left centerback, so he is on 10 chem. I play a 3-5-2 and Hernandez as LM on 7 chem is just fine for me.

While looking for an upgrade for Joe Gomez I came across Joe Gomez IF (700 k) and Future Stars Bastoni (240 k), both really expensive. Dalot meanwhile is really cheap (35 k).

Let´s start with the stat check: His TS are 488 and IGS are 2293. As a comparison: Gomez IF TS: 424 IGS 1913 and Bastoni FTS TS: 431 IGS 2029.

Of course do stats not always tell the whole story, I am not saying at all that he is a better card, but the comparison of stats and price made it a very easy decision to try him out.

Due to playing really offensive I need fast right and left cb´s (in the middle I play Baby Ferdinand, on the right side Klaiber), because I tend to be vulnerable when my outside mids are out of position and the opponent counters.

I played Dalot the whole WL and I was very pleasantly surprised by his performance. With shadow he has ne problem to keep up with the really fast boys when my opponent countered+ I loved his jockey movement, his great dribbling stats definitly showed the whole WL as he did not feel clunky. I think for a defender it is always good when he does not stand out in a negative way. He did not do any notable mistakes and for my play style he is pretty close to being perfect. His positioning was also really good.

A huge plus is that he is not lost when he has the ball, his passing and dribbling is really good, I didnt do dumb mistakes with him in the build up play when passing (with Ferdinand I do sometimes).

In conclusion he is for me the best value for money option because he does everything I am asking him to do (good, fast defender) and even some more (decent passing + dribbling).

The only disadvantage is that I cant play Hernandez on 10 chem, but that is no problem for me.

  • fast
  • cheap
  • good dribbling + passing
  • very nice jockey movement
  • strong link to free Tonali
  • unbeatable money / performance
  • well rounded
  • In a perfect world he would be a CB (whining at a high level)

7 CHEM. RIGHT BACK. SHADOW.

I was pretty sceptical about this card at first, so jumped into 2 games of rivals with him. Expected him to be no better than 85 Kyle Walker, but my god was I wrong. I'm debating using this guy over Klaiber and Tavernier this Weekend League, with tonali and flashback cr7 linking him in. He provided 2 assists and no goals in the two games, both of which were crosses, one to ronaldo and one to dybala. His passing isn't good e...

A beast at CB

I Link him with Theo IF, 98 pace with shadow is insane... also he has 98 interceptions and great agility and balance, so its easy defending with him.

Genuinely an insane card.

Genuinely insane. i replaced my third inform theo hernandez for this beast and im so happy i made that decision. This guy is amazing value. He never messes up a tackle and never accidently fouls or anything. Im linking him to ribery and bruno who is playing cb (cdm) however i switch bruno and bruno guimareea3dfadfa or whatever he's called in game around. The first thing you notice on is base card is that he isn't the fastes...
