89 - Headliners Upgrade
Leon Goretzka is a new player introduced to the FUT in the Headliners 2 squad. He is the first ever non-icon Gullit Gang player (Face stats all above 80). He serves as a box to box midfielder in my team. And I got to say wow, he intercepts the ball quite a lot of times, amazing physicality, he holds to ball amazingly well. I used him in weekend league for 11 games, 5 goals scored are headers and cross goals, he jumps quite high and heads the ball into the net. Amazing shot power with his foot. 12 assists, passing is good.

Packed this guy out of my 80+ player pick and I usually don't do reviews but after using this guy and noticing he does not have any reviews I knew I needed to be the one to write a review.
Pace 9/10- Pace with a shadow is as expected extremely quick especially for a CM and its insane he can run through defenses and catch up to end game players like mbappe and Neymar
Dribbling 8/10- He is a bit tall so don't expect him to be the smoothest player on the ball but for a CM/CDM its much better than average and isn't really an issue
Shooting 8/10- in the rare cases he had shots for me he usually score 1 out of 2 and his long shots were absolutely insane in 10 DIvision 1 Rival games he has 4 goals 5 assists from CDM
Defending 10/10- This guy has the longest legs in the game its insane the player can be miles away and his legs would catch up, its impossible to get past him and his interceptions are just crazy
Passing 9/10 - would mess up a few passes but even the best passers do it and its probably my fault, He would make all the passes you'd expect him to make though
Physical 10/10- He is sooo strong considering how tall he is its so surprising just how strong he really is

Nothing really to be honest maybe height if you see that as a negative, dont know why you would though.
Price maybe
After doing the Gnabry Freeze SBC, and getting really lucky by packing Kimmich in my red Picks, I had to get my hands on this Headliner Goretzka, to build a full German Bayern Munich midfield. When I saw his stats at first I thought he would probatly cost around a Million coins. After I checked his price again, 2 days later, his price settled at around 500k. So I decided to pull the trigger, and get this man into my team.
I played him for 30 division 1 Rivals matches as a CDM in the 4-2-3-1 formation with Kimmich as the other CDM and Gnabry as the CAM. Kimmich had the instruction to "stay back while attacking", "man mark" and cover center. I only gave "cover center" for him, so he would make those offensive runs when needed.
And Man, he didn´t let me down. I´ve used 89 Bruno Fernandes and 82 Renato Sanches before as box to box midfielders, and I liked him better then both of them. After putting a Shadow chemistry style on his card, he felt very fast and his defending was superb. I would commpare his defending, to the defending of players like Desailly or Zakaria. Long legs are very Meta this year for midfielders, and because of his height and his strenth, he manages to bully almost all players off the ball, or tackles the ball off them. His passing is great, and his shots are also very good. - If you take a shot in a good position, you can rely on him to score. Because of his height and body type his dribbling feels a little bit heavy. Especially compared to small players like Kante, Kimmich or Renato Sanches. That wasn´t a problem for me though because I relied on my smaller players for the dribbling in the last third, and used him to distribute balls finish the balls. His offensive positioning made that very easy, because he runs into empty spaces on the pitch and therefore, you can almost always pass the ball to him.
And now let´s get to the most amazing part about this card: It´s price. Of course he is expensive, but compared to similar players, he is a bargain. Especially if you take in consideration, that he plays for Bayern, and will most likely get many upgrades. As of today Bayerns will be the big favourite to win their next 4 matches, and since they are the dominatnt team in the bundesliga, getting 4 wins in a row should be well possible for them for a couple of times. If I had to guess, I would say, that this card will go up to be at least a 92.
As a counclusion, I have to say, that if you can link him into your team, he is a must get. He has a brilliant card already, and with some upgrades, which he will probatly already get soon, he will be out of this world.
Pace feels great for Midfielder
Strength
Passing is very good
Shooting is decent
Stajmina will last you a full match
Defending is out of this world with a shadow
Gullit Gang ^^
PRICE
He feels a bit heavy because of his agility
Sometimes you have to force him to come back on defense, because of his meduim defensive workrate. Shouldn´t be a problem though, when you play him as a box to box with another defensive minded midfielder.
What a player! Leon Goretzka is an absolute beast. I've used him in rivals, champs, friendlies and some other things and oh my days he is amazing. He can defend like he's Maldini and attack like he's Zidane. On the attack, he can easily regain possession when and if he loses it. His shooting is class, and in-game he doesn't seem to have a weak foot. I play him alongside Pogba in the CDM spots and he carries Pogba and the entire defence.

Nothing
Maybe a bit pricey but if you are willing to spend a little over 600k then he is PERFECT.
He is an absolute beast and should be the definition of a box to box CM/CDM. Despite the low balance, he felt really good with the ball and not clunky at all. I play him attacking CM alongside with Renato and he scored numerous times from smart runs from behind. I packed him in party bag
