86 - MOTM
5.0
MOTM Cuadrado
By Justmeh123, 07-02-2021

On Saturday night I decided to finally complete marquee matchups as I fancied my chances of packing one of those beautiful future stars, but instead out of my premium electrum pack came this man. At first I thought of selling him but decided against as I had 16 games of WL left and was in desperate need of a strong link to my Dybala that I didn’t have to sub off. So I kept him for the WL and I do not regret it one bit.

I played 3-5-2 in game with cuadrado playing in the RM position and he was the perfect balance of attacking and that little bit of defending needed to defend the wings. With the engine chemistry style this guy turns into a different beast he gets the brilliant combo of 99 acceleration and sprint speed along with a great boost to passing and a fair boost to his already great dribbling. With his high agility and balance and brilliant pace he was bursting past headliner Hernandez and other top tier LB every game for me, it was ridiculous.

Pros:

Pace and Dribbling

The combination of these two stats make him feel absolutely rapid, lightning fast and he pulls off skill moves with ease and can exit them too into a burst of pace.

5 star skills

I think this is really what sets this card apart from every RB/RWB in the Serie A/ possibly the game as it is a very unique attribute to have in this position and a deadly one too. Everyone knows how meta it is to have 5 star skills on attackers but to have it on a defender opens up so much room for creativity and creates passing lanes that wouldn’t be possible without them.

Passing

I think the engine chem style is incredibly strong as it boosts three very crucial base card stats by decent amounts respectively, espicially in passing the engine chem style is noticed I think as a boost to all stats apart from FK accuracy is not to be slept on. The passing was just what I needed on this card strong short passing with very good crossing and decent long passing.

Really the only con I believe with this card is that he lacks strength, but I believe with an anchor chem style that would fix it most likely.

It is possible to argue about his price, but I believe this a S tier defender so I believe the asking price is warranted.

In conclusion I very much enjoyed this card and quite frankly I can’t recommend him enough. Thank you for reading, stay safe!

I played Cuadrado for 15 games in a variety of positions, CDM and RB in 4-2-3-1, RM in 3-5-2, and CM in 4-4-2. My review will be on his performance at RB, but I will say now that he can play any position other than GK, CB, and ST with success. I am a div 3 player, I played him with an anchor chem style.

I was up at 1 am and wasn't really thinking, so I decided to put my Kante in the double 85+ SBC and this mad lad popped out. When it comes to value, even with the 100k from Kante, I got almost double the value of players in the pack then what I put in the SBC, so I was really excited, especially because he is Colombian and a link to Tello. If you are looking for an attacking full-back, this is your man. He is super quick and agile, he is probably the best dribbling fullback on the game. His pace is amazing, there is no need to boost it, I just like the anchor defending boost better than the sentinel defending boost. His passing is nothing special, but his crosses are INSANE. Falcao is a master of the back post run when Cuadrado is set loose on the wing. Just hold RB and cross then tap B and it is a free goal, expect when Varane is on the line and he bicycle clears it back off of Falcao and out for a goal kick (true story). His defending is, in Gattuso's words, "sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe sh*t". He defends a bit like Davies IRL, he will get caught out of position, but then he will catch up to the guy and win it back. His tackling is very very good. Interceptions aren't special, but are not bad. The only reason I think this card should only be worth 200k is his physicality. It is just mediocre in general. His strength isn't bad, but not good, if you play him stay back, his stamina will last the full game, but you don't buy this card to not get in the attack. If you have Atal off the bench it is perfect. His aggression is very good, and when he tackles he tackles hard, which I like in my players.

  1. Pace, With or without a boost he can keep up with anyone.
  2. Versatility, Can play a wide variety of positions.
  3. Links, Ronaldo, Sweedish guy, Tello, Muriel, Dybala etc.
  4. Tackling, Great tackling, both standing and sliding.
  5. Aggression, Not afraid of anybody.
  6. Dribbling, Super fun to use. His elasticos are faster than Okocha's.
  7. Crossing, great crosses and corners.
  8. Long Shots, He hit a banger and hit the bar once.
  9. 5* skills, Fun.
  10. Slight chance of a winter upgrade.
  1. Stamina, Not terrible, but noticeable after the 80th min.
  2. Strength, Not bad on the ball, but he can't muscle strong players off the ball defensively.
  3. WF, Only bad if you want him as a winger.
  4. Price, Probably a bit overpriced at 300k.
