This guy is an amazing b2b on fifa 21 i have to say. His ability to defend and quickly go into a counter attack is fantastic. i am playing him with bruno fernandes at cdm so 2 amazing b2b's. Its fair to say that he will definitely be in my team until tots because he is amazing. I'll start with the cons. hes 6'1 with High and average+ body type and only 84 agility and 82 balance. he isn't going to be the most amazing on the ball and is going to feel stiff is what you think. but omg he is not stiff. off the ball he is vvd, he's huge and makes tackles. but on the ball he doesn't feel stiff at all and feels quite nice (btw im using basic not even an engine chem style or anything). He isn't the fastest but that doesn't really matter much because he is a cdm/cm. He's crazy strong and physical of course. His passing is perfect, (exactly what you'd expect from 96 short passing) and his shooting is MENTAL, this guy rattled the wood work so many times when i used him and honestly wow. what a card. his week foot doesn't matter. as long as the shots on target and not pointing at the gk its going in. Only proper con is that he is like 400k i believe but honestly hes worth it.

My squad is mostly untradeable, and I only have two tradeable players in my entire club (gold VVD and gold Courtois). Therefore, my squad is very set in stone, and it's rare that good players are available to improve this team. So when Curtis Jones showed up in the SBCs, I was delighted that I could finally upgrade my standard gold Wijnaldum. Unfortunately, I had to use Wijnaldum in the SBC, so after 300+ glorious games, I finally had to let my dear Gini go. Jones had better be worth it.

So I use Jones in this squad (https://www.futbin.com/21/squad/6147776), and in-game I play 4-3-3 (2) with Jones as the RCM, and also play a 5-3-2 with Jones as the CM. I have the Guardian chem style on him, and I have him on stay back whilst attacking in both formations.

First thing I notice is how big he looks in game. It's probably just his hair style, but he looks like he's 6ft4", and his physical stats help him feel that tall as well. He bodies most midfielders off the ball, and wins many headers in the air, something which adds a lot to my team already.

I didn't touch Jones' passing stats with a chem style, but I had Powerhouse on Wijnaldum, which gave him better passing stats than Jones, but Jones' passing definitely feels a lot better than Gini's.

With a guardian trait, Jones' ability to hold onto the ball is just brilliant. I'm not really one to use skills, but left-stick dribbling with this guy feels so satisfying.

In this team, I play Rijkaard at CDM in the 433, and CB in the 532,but somehow, Jones' defending feels just as good as Rijkaard's. He seems to always be in position to intercept the pass, and covers the opposition really well. His interceptions and defensive awareness stats do not do justice to how he feels in-game.

I do like to get him forward, although with the stay back instructions, I only want him to get forward when I tell him to. However, this doesn't stop him from taking up really ideal positions for a good forward pass to him. I feel his 85 attack positioning is a lie; it feels like a 95-99. He is always in an amazing position to receive the ball.

He's scored two goals for me by getting into the box and shooting across the keeper. I've tried a few long shots with him, and whilst they feel decent, I haven't been able to score any from range with him yet.

Overall, I do feel like this is the perfect upgrade to my long-serving player in Wijnaldum, whom I packed within the first week of FIFA. Only thing is that my VVD goes down to 8 chem, but I hadn't noticed VVD getting much worse or anything. I have a feeling I'll be using Jones right up to TOTS. I'd definitely recommend.

Never written a review but once I played with this card I knew I needed to. I've used headliners Goretzka for 200+ games and this card is genuinely worlds ahead. In my team, he is used as a more attacking center mid but with his high-high work rates he does his fair share on defense as well. I know it is rather cliche, and I can't point to a singular stat on the card that justifies it, but he is always in the right place at the right time. Both his interceptions and attacking runs are sensational. The only downside to the card is because of the high-high work rates he often runs low on stamina towards the last 10 minutes-ish of the game. If you have the fodder I 100% recommend the card!

As a Liverpool fan, this was a great chance to add a Liverpool player to my squad. I had no doubts about completing the sbc, even if it costed my precious Ansu Fati POTM, who I played nearly 500 matches with. Now, when we come to the point about Curtis Jones, he is a literal beast in the midfield and even can be used as winger-CAM's. His price is fair for his stats, but not makeable for everyone. He can literally be an ST or a CB with the right chem style. I advise you to do this SBC if you can. It doesn't matter if he is 8 or 10 chem, he plays like a mini Gullit both in size and as a card.

Now when we go deeper for the stats:

PACE:

84 pace is amazing for a CDM or CM. With a shadow, he can be a brick wall for your midfield.

SHOOTING:

85 shooting is just perfect. FYI, Werner also has 85 shooting. Curtis is a midfield player, and 85 shooting is a great stat because you won't fear shooting with him. Also, he has 4 Weak-foot, which is an addition to it.

PASSING:

I am not going to go into details, just perfect and he can pass anything you want if you do it correctly.

DRIBBLING:

84 dribbling might be seen as not too much, but ingame he keeps the ball very well and can be used to make skill moves in narrow places.

DEFENDING & PHYSICALITY:

81 defense and 86 physicality. 90 Stamina is a very key aspect and he hardly gets tired. 81 defense can be improved with a shadow but it is still very good without the chem styles. 86 physicality for a midfield player is insane and there is no need for improvement on it. As cons for physicality, he can be a bit weak against Sissoko and similar players, but well who doesn't right :/ ?

So, basically I was waiting for a future stars Gravenberch to be release and he never did, so when this Curtis Jones card showed up, I just knew it would be a good investment, and my not very audacious gut feeling was correct, what a monster. I put a hunter on and use him as a box to box midfielder that joins the attack next to gold Wijnaldum, who stays back. He does just about everything at a good level, and somethings he does at an elite level, overall the major strength of this card is that it doesnt have any weaknesses. A jack of all trades that has fantastic links and is one of the best box to box midfielders in the game, so this is type of card that will fit your team in the long term, which makes his value rise even more.

I only played with him in the weekend league and he racked up 18 goal contributions in 26 games while also playing defense at a very high level, was very pleased with his production. If you dont do him, you might regreat it, BUT IF YOU DO HIM, YOU WON'T REGREAT IT.
