As usual, thank you for reading. I'm always open to questions and/or feedback.
I'm going to start this review with two players of note, 99 Pele and 97 TOTY Mbappe. Why am I naming these two guys? Well, if you search Hwang Hee Chan's attributes, those two players are the only two players that can match Chan's bas attributes. Their cost? Pele = 15,000,000 and Mbappe is sitting at just above 4,500,000. Chan? Around 70,000 coins. Am I saying he's as good as those two, no. I'm not mental. What I am saying though is that Chan is so much better than what he is selling for on the market. And this point benefits anyone who wants to use this guy. Oh and his parting piece, 5* weak foot. Don't be afraid of his 3* skill moves. As I'm about to cover below, he doesn't need 4* or 5* to be very good. Last bit here, he is absolutely deadly with the one-two passing.
To get the most out of Chan, I would recommend using the finisher chemistry card. Finisher maxes out his finishing and his agility and dribbling.
He's fast. 96 Acceleration and 95 sprint speed with 99 agility, what do you expect, a truck? He changes directions very quickly and can stop and go in a flash. He's one of the quickest RB dribblers I've used this year.
Simply put, he's going to score a lot, and I mean a lot of goals for you. With finisher, he has 93 positioning, 99 finishing, 93 shot power, 80 long shots, 94 volleys and 86 penalties. I was a bit nervous of his 80 long shots, but I found that unless you're trying to score from 40 yards out he can shoot from the top of the box no problem due to his finishing and power. Also, due to his ability to get behind, his smart runs and his dribbling ability he can get close enough to score with ease. And speaking of runs, he doesn't make the generic runs that plague many of the strikers in this game. I found him to constantly be looking for open spaces to get in to. Shots with both feet are consistent. Unlike other cards, there doesn't feel to be any let down on shooting with his left foot.
89 vision, 86 and 74 long pass. Nothing there that blows you away, but I found his passing to be a bit on the surprising side. Not only could he consistently make the passes I needed him to, but more often than not his pass placement and pass weight were very good. Although he has a low curve, I believe his high vision makes his passing ability to stand out.
Well, 99 agility, 87 balance, 85 ball control and 99 dribbling. The guy can dribble. Is he a Headliners Ben Yedder, no, but he's close. I had no problems pulling off skill moves with him. He felt good on the ball and smooth. If I was nitpicking, I feel he could've had higher ball control. Although, if his ball control was in the 90s, he'd be nearly undefendable.
Not good. He can press well due to his speed and agility. He will make the occasional tackle but don't expect him to drop back and be a wall.
This category is my only real complain about this card. 94 jumping (he's 5' 10") 84 stamina, 78 strength and 64 aggression. I don't see the point of giving him 94 jumping. That's not the player he is in real life and it's useless to have that in this game. His stamina was enough to last a full 90. Would have been nice to have his stamina at 90+ with how far we are in the game. But EA seems intent on keeping every player below 90. I found his aggression to be acceptable. He won his share of 50/50s. It was nothing impressive, nothing disappointing. What was a little bit disappointing was his strength. His card shows 78 but it felt more like 68. Was his strength a hinderance, no. But it would have been amazing to have that pace, that dribbling ability and that shooting ability to be matched with good strength.
If you have a Bundesliga team, buy this card. You won't be disappointed unless you're the type that spams skill moves. He's not only a ton of fun to use but he's also extremely good. I guarantee if this card was in the Premier League, he would cost at minimum 300,000. My basis for that? Record Breaker Jamie Vardy. Chan is a better version of that card. Better pace, better agility, better passing and oh, don't forget, 5* weak foot.
Sorry for the coloring, not sure why that is on here.
-Shooting with either foot
-plenty good enough at skill moves to get away or just get some space
-3* skills but only if you are the type that spams skill moves
Let me start like this. I hated to play with his 77 rated card. So I was kinda mixed about packing him about 5 minutes after his release. On one hand, I was happy I packed someone, on the other hand, I had very bad memories with him. Either way, I have decided to give him a chance in the Weekend League. I just finished the 7th match with him and I really like this card.
Pace is 10/10. Obviously. He´s very quick and even Varane can´t catch him easily.
His dribbling is great, he is responsive on the ball and for players who prefer left-stick drribling, he is top tier.
His finishing is incredible....but for his right foot only. Even tho he has 5star wf, I don´t find it that much consistent as his right foot. But yeah, if you´ll shoot with him on his right, he will make a 60% chance a 90% chance. His positioning is decent. He makes solid runs, finds amazing spaces for him and that makes an amazing ST for me in this game.
Physicality is solid. His strenght does the job. Nothing special, nothing horrible either.
Other stats are not that important.
In conclusion, for 70k, amazing price. The fact that he is going to be even cheaper in a week or so, makes it even better. Although I very dislike 1 and only thing, EA should have done way better job with upgrading this card. They shoud have give him 4star/5star and make those stats +2, that would be amazing...because now I don´t see many people using him until TOTS.
Shooting on his right
Came on FIFA at 6 saw this Hwang Hee Chan and jizzed my pants. Tbf I thought this sexy beast would be like 2mil and was shocked to see him at 100k!
I saw that and went and sold my kidney on the black market coz I'm poor and bang i have this little magician upfront with Podolski.
I played my first game with him and fucking heel this guy just bullies ppl. I thought he'd be a little slippery snake and I was scared he'd get bullied off the
ball like insigne but boy was I wrong. He just pushes defenders off him. Put any1 in front of him and hell put them on the floor. His 5 star weak foot is just
too good. Right foot left foot don't matter to him. His agility and dribbling traits just makes defenders look like they've been sniped. If u thought his OTW
was good this is a must buy. His shooting is just too good and his weak foot just makes it impossible to miss. If u aren't a skiller get this card and destroy
everyone u play against.
5 Star Weak Foot
3 Star skills but if u aren't a skiller it doesn't matter
When FUT Birthday came out this guy was the only one I wanted, I waited until his price dropped as much as it did to around 38K. I got him and I put him in my squad because I needed an out-and-out striker- someone who is fast, can shoot and dribble, with good passing as well, along with decent physical. This guy seemed like he had it all. And he did. He was unbelievable. 70 goal contributions in 50 games speaks for itself but lets go more narrowed down.
This guy is FAST, but because of the way this game is, the fullbacks at CB with 99 pace will be faster than him, however, against Varane he has sprinted by him many times before and will do the job for you in terms of getting in behind.
This guy's shooting was actually pretty good. With 99 finishing it could be expected, and it was phenomenal for the price, and 48 goals in 50 games is just mind-blowing. Some games his shooting may seem to be poor, and then boom, he pops with a brace by full-time. His 5 star weak foot also feels like it I game, as he will finish the chance sixth either foot. Overall, very good shooting,
Now the stats seem very good for his passing, but I have had do many attacks broken down just because this guy cannot play a normal 5 yard through ball past the defender to my other players running through. His passing is very meh, and that is why he can't really play any other position besides striker.
Now many people may not agree with this, but I think this card dribbled phenomenally. His close control and left stick dribbling was always smooth, and while people may whine about the body type and skill moves, I felt that it was perfectly fine, and since I don't use skill moves anyway, it didn't really matter to me. Because of this guy's silky dribbling, so many opportunities had been created for my team, and since his shooting is pretty good, he has taken quite a few of them as well.
Well I guess heading accuracy is a part of defining, but his heading is very hit and miss, but he can score those basic sitters. Other than that not much really to be said about his defending.
His jumping is world class. He can get to the ball, but the chance of him heading the ball in the right direction is unlikely to say the least. It is not bad by any means, but it is not good either. His strength is OK, he will get bodied time and again, but he can definitely hold his own at times.
Overall this is a very good card for its value, and if you need a player to deliver the goods while you gather funds for your team, this is the guy for you. Thanks for reading!!!
- Solid Shooting
- 5 star weakfoot
- Great Dribbling
- Meh physical
- Meh passing'
- 3 star skills for those who use them
Div 5/6 player and very casual.
Honestly wanted to try this guy to see if he was overrated or not. I had Haaland (TOTGS) which felt pretty clunky (great finisher though). After 20 games, I have had 22 goals with him and do not regret my choice. Used a 4-3-1-2 in game with freeze hazard up front
For me he is the number 9 of the team
Very very fast - 96 pace, do not need to apply a pace upgrade at all
Shooting (w/ a marksman) - almost always goes into the net
5 star weak foot - can hit it on his left with ease as well (couple of his goals were with left)
96 agility is also really good and his dribbling feels pretty smooth, however composure and balance do let it down a little
Very cheap too
3 star skill moves is a bit of a 'meh' - as I am a skiller in fifa and prefer attackers with at least 4 star (maybe a reason I did not like haaland much in game)
Heading accuracy is a major setback - you really do not want to head a corner with hwang as it is pretty inconsistent
Passing is a bit 'meh' too
Guess not that good linkability. That's why I'm rocking a 4-5-1 and he's surrounded by Bundesliga players (could do a cheeky pl bundesliga hybrid with him and son though)
