Let me start this off by saying the best parts of this card, his passing is some of the best I've played with in fifa which I promise isn't an over-reaction and when you get him on his left in the box he puts almost anything away especially with the outside foot shot trait. His right is reliable but not as crazy although it still benefits from outside foot shot in the box.
This card is easily the best player I've used for around 30-50k. I play in elite division and champs only. I have used this card (inc POTM) at CAM for 20 games and LCM for about ~40 games so I'll give my opinion on both. I also don't believe he would be a good striker even though he has amazing physical just due to his agility and body type and H/H.
I got his POTM for free with fodder just because I thought he looked like a good budget option, he had 42g/42a in 52 games and was great. I've played 8 games with his headliners card and the stat difference is quite minimal but at times noticeable. He has 5g/12a in those 8 games once again being run at LCM.
This cards agility and dribbling is actually quite good, obviously not a card you are gonna run around 3 players with but he isn't clunky at all. He can get around a defender on the top of the box and he's got a nice close sprint touch so don't be scared of his dribbling.
This card with H/H is surprisingly good at playing with pressure on heavy touch, he goes box to box game and with his physical stats he's nowhere near a liability defensively. Don't expect him to make crazy interceptions but he can chase and dispossess extremely well for an attacking player as he can body pretty much anyone off the ball and most importantly hold them off after. I spoke about it earlier but this cards passing is absolutely insane he dinks lobs amazingly and puts nice through balls on the ground as well, this is reliant on getting on his left as his passing gets a lot more inconsistent on his right, play him on the left side of the field. Lastly, this cards positioning is insane he is always giving me options in the box when breaking on the counter and when holding up play on top of the box he'll give you a good option.
This card doesn't tear the world apart but he's by far and away the best budget card I've played with this year. He is nice in bad gameplay and he often outplays the likes of Prime Zola, Mid Hagi and WW Jonathan David. If you need an attacking player to fit in a Ligue 1 squad for cheap it would be rude not to give this card a try.
Oh! I forgot to mention 99 jumping and 99 heading accuracy meaning if you play him as a CM with his H/H he can disrupt crosses from time to time and also get on the end of your crosses in the attack.
Looking for a decent french CAM, i came across this guy. I was first a bit hesitant to use him, as I thought he would be quite clunky. However, I was wrong. In my 4-1-2-1-2 I gave him a chance with a engine chemistry style, and boy did he deliver. His dribbling is much better than you expect, kind of similar to Fekir's. His passing is insane. Before I used Messi at CAM, but got annoyed by how many chances he misses and how easy it was for opponents to bully him off the ball. Laborde is much better at this. His dribbling combined with his physicality makes it very hard for opponents to get the ball of of him. This, combined with his pace and incredible shooting makes him a great CAM that can fit in most of the teams.
Used him in 4 Elite rivals and 1 WL qualifier.
Incredible shooting
Sick heading
Dribbling (he aint no Vini but he's not clunky)
(long) passing
4* wf
Some would say 3* skills, but for me it was never a problem
Not most agile player, but again, it really does the job
At first I was kind of skeptical of this player, much like you may be. He seems kind of short, maybe not good enough to be in my team. Well, if you haven't tried him, you won't know how good he is. I had some spare money after marquee matchups rewards, so I decided to try him out. Let me just say, he seems quite big in-game. He wins almost every header, is super fast (with a hunter, 94 rated striker). He has a great passing ability and is quite physical. I used him at striker in a 4-1-2-1-2 with toko-ekambi at left midfield and let me say, they are a combination. I would say that this is a haaland esque player without the full stockiness, more passing ability and a better style of play. Laborde can be a barreling forward up front with a deadly left boot and a nice outside boot shot trait as well as a maestro up front, creating for your wingers. This is a great card and is able to be used either as both a creative and strong forward of a creative and technical central attacking midfielder. Please don't worry about the 3 start skills, his dribbling is good enough without the full Pele effect.
Very creative
Great passing
Nice dribbling, clean and smooth
Deadly left boot
Good speed
Stamina
3 star skills (dribbling itself is good though)\
Free kicks (if using as a cam still good in general play)
I will keep it short: This man is absolutely unreal, especially considering the price.
I play him with a hunter chem style as a left striker in a 3-4-1-2 next to mid eto'o and believe me, he gives the poacher from cameroon a good run for his money.
He was only used in division rivals (elite) and weekend league (I always get 9 wins and donate the rest because I can't be bothered to sweat)
He is super linkable, an absolute allrounder up-front and always underestimated by opponents.
Pace:
Obviously no Usain Bolt but with the hunter chem style he can usually outpace most defenders without the ball to his feet and even when dribbling, he feels surprisingly quick and stays in front of the defender due to his physique
Shooting:
Absolutely insane, he does not miss, puts everything in the net - no questions asked. The outside the foot shot trade is golden and the most surprising thing is his longshot. The 84 is an absolute lie and he regularly hammers it home from outside the box.
Passing:
His passing is a great bonus to this card, because he can play great through balls and deliver reliable crosses when roaming around (in my case, mostly for Eto'o).
Dribling:
No Neymar, but again surprisingly good. His first touch is very controlled and he can move around defenders even with relatively low agility and balance
Physique:
Jumping, strength, stamina and a bit of agression. He got everything you could ask for and provides plenty of header goals thanks to his 99 heading accuracy. Absolutely lethal.
What can I say. Quick, strong, and barely misses a chance on either foot.
Now I'm no skiller, so if you're like me you'll love this card. Him at ST with Aouar 87 at CAM is the perfect link imo, and for only 45k you really can't do better.
And he's very decent in the air, even though he's under 6'
Strength
Pace (with Hunter)
Finishing on either foot
Ability to just blast through defenders with ease
Jumping & Heading ability
98 Stamina
I guess balance and agility aren't great, but he certainly isn't clunky for me.
Bought for 31k, I wasn't really expecting that much since he's oddly cheap for the stats he has. However, I was pretty surprised as he's single-handedly won me a good few games.
Used as a CAM on Engine
Pace
Pace is very okay, he's not rapid but he's certainly not slow either. He won't outpace many wingbacks so I'd recommend using him down the centre, and he's quick enough to get past most CBs I've faced.
Shooting
Shooting is off the scale, every shot seems to go in and his weakfoot with shots feels like 5*. Shot power feels beyond 99 and his volleys are sublime, no weaknesses here at all
Passing
Passing is very good, one of the reasons I'd definitely recommend using him as a CAM, as when combined with his strength really helps him hold up the ball and create play nicely
Dribbling
Dribbling is by far his biggest weakness. Even on engine he turns like a cargo ship run aground. Close dribbling when not sprinting is good but the second he runs he's going in one direction and nothing is stopping him, so definitely make use of his passing and don't try and out dribble opponents.
Physicality
He's built like a brick shithouse and it would take an IED to push him off the ball, his strength feels 99 and I've never had an opponent out physical him before. Heading is exceptional too and 97 stamina is a huge win.
Overall
Overall, he's a very solid attacking option if you're a bit broke like me. Although his dribbling is pretty piss poor, he more than makes up for it with his explosive shots, decent pace and fantastic passing. he's also always in the right position at the right time to poach goals and his heading ability is out of this world. He won't be for everyone, but he's definitely worth a try.
At first, i was a bit scared of this card being a in-game scam but WOW, how wrong i was. Not only Laborde is really fast and really agile to turn, but his strength is also notable when running for a through ball, and then, the definition is simply amazing, with any leg, that 4wf really feels like 5wf. Definitley one of the best strikers in the game, and the best price-quality ratio card.
4wf (feels like 5wf)
Shooting is crazy (annihilator finsihing)
Agilty
Nice passing
Great physicallity
