94 - Icon Moments
In previous years, van Basten has been largely written off as unusable due to his relatively low agility and dribbling compared to the meta strikers like Mbappe, Butra, Dalglish. However, after over 500 goals with his baby version with an average of 1.3 goals per game, I decided to splash out the extra 150k to upgrade to the moments version. The baby version already has the most clinical shooting of any striker I've tried, so I was eager to see how the pace, strength and agility boost affected his in game performances.
Safe to say, he exceeded expectations once again. His shooting from anywhere within 30 yards is absolutely deadly. His finesse shots from outside the box are cracked, he dominates every CB in the air, is a threat from corners and his weak foot feels like 5 star. He is already averaging over 1.5 goals per game in Division 1 and WL, and he is one of the players you can just rely on to score.
His pace is fine and he can outrun CBs, bit he isn't mbappe. His left stick dribbling is very responsive, but don't expect him to waltz through defences like Cruyff and round the keeper. Just build up the play, spot MVB in the box and cross or pass to him and he will do the rest. Anywhere near the goal and he is a cold blooded killer.

He isn't meta. If you want your striker to turn like cruyff and dribble through defences, MVB isn't your man.
Works better in a two. As a lone striker, he can get isolated.
