An Honest Review on Gazza B

Gareth Bale, for a years now in FIFA he has never been a meta card due to being too clunky for the game. In FIFA 20 and 21, Bale's archetype was not good for the game, only for some casual players, nevertheless, this year especially with this heavily boosted card, Bale can finally be considered as a proper meta card.

EA gave Bale 95 Agility with 92 Balance, meaning that even though he stands at 6'1, he will be able to turn with the ball. This makes Bale a strong contestant for being a Striker, but I do not think that he will be a truly meta one. If you have completed Bale and put him at Striker, hoping that he will be able to save your team, but have felt like his performances have been lacklustre, it is because this Bale card is not an insane Striker. He is still too clunky.

Will feel like better strikers than Bale due to being better dribblers. Obviously, I could list cards way over Bale's price like Saint-Maximin, Dembele, CR7, Ribery, but then it would be unfair as these cards are 2M+ while Bale is a 750k SBC. If you have the coins to buy your Dembele's, Ribery's, etc, and feel like Bale can replace them, he cannot, unless you are looking at a specific position.

While Bale is not fantastic at Striker, he flourishes out wide. Surprisingly this year, the meta is extra passes and headers. This is why the 4-3-2-1 has become so vast in the game, especially in Pro FIFA, with most players using either 3-5-2 or 4-3-2-1 in the recent FGS 2022 Playoffs. I also saw Pros subbing in Wout Weghorst, to simply score a header, they are very prevalent in this game.

With this, and Bale's height, incredible Jumping and Heading Accuracy, Bale makes for the perfect wide player. I use him at RF, so that I can whip in crosses, but also run up the pitch. Having a strong winger is very good as they can bully full backs and run up a lot more space than smaller wingers. I can assure you that this Bale is a much better wide player than a TOTY Messi or Moments Garrincha due to his presence. Most of Bale's 26 Goals at came from me whipping in a cross from my LF or LB and Bale will either volley or header it in.

In other formations, as long as Bale plays out wide, LM, LW, LF, RM, RW, RF, he will do a job well worth 760k and change games for you.

Another quick mention is due to his height, physicality, and not too bad defensive stats, Bale is a perfect card at LM or RM in a 3-5-2 due to being able to track back and defend well. He also pressures amazingly in the 4-3-2-1
