First and foremost, I’m unsure if a 3 day usage of Varane would be useful for you FUT players thinking of getting him, so I’ll be honest with my review of him.

Managed to obtain Varane through the Gold premium player pack preview, and paired him in a back 4 of Telles, Lacroix & Mukiele.

Varane ingame is pretty much enjoyable and in my own opinion if I were to compare to his Fifa 21 gold vers, it’s better. He’s composed at the back, good at interceptions if your opponent are playing those one-twos, as for running standing tackles he can swoop attackers clean like how my mother uses her broom to clear the dust at home (Yes we don’t use vaccum don’t ratio me). His passing is slighty above average, his pace if u were to slap a shadow on him, he can match up with whatever speedsters ur opponents has in store for you. One of my best moments with him is when he made a superb clean tackle on freaking Lukaku running at max speed from the center circle about to 1V1 my GK. Varane managed to chase him back and made a world class tackle that sometimes I feel it could be broken tbh. It’s no doubt he’s the best Gold CB in this game(from my perspective at least) . However, I haven’t tried out Kounde and Kimpembe yet so maybe those two could be top CB competitors if you don’t include ICONS. The only thing i would consider average or wouldnt like about him is his defensive heading, aerial ability when defending or clearing the ball and his agility, nothing more. If you’re an average gamer like me, want a CB that can do the job for you and you dont mind spending, he’s a must buy. However, looking at his cost, unless you manage to pack him, I would suggest you give other Budget CB a chance.

first of all, I bought him for 300k and have used him for about 210 games, while the rest of my team is always changing.

I've used variance in a number of different partnerships, including: kimpembe, van dijk, Marquinhos, etc. and I have to say I have had the most enjoyable time with varane and icl Marquinhos. yes, icl Marquinhos is a very expensive card, especially for a cb, but u could just get the normal version. never the less, varane is so solid at the back, his agility which seems to be low is actually rlly good. whenever he has the ball it seems like the opponents can't get it off him, and his passing has been very reliable.

I've seen a few comparisons between him and van dijk, and a lot of people say that van dijk is better but I have to disagree. I play him on 7 chem and he is still better than van dijk ever was for me. his ai defending is just unfair and his pace is amazing for a cb, he's also scored a few goals from corners for me which van dijk never did.
