As soon as I saw this Deulofeu SBC come out, I completed it and he immediately slotted into my starting lineup replacing FF Depay. I put a Marksman on him and set his tactics to get in behind and stay central. My conclusion after using him for Weekend League qualifiers next to TOTY Benzema is:
- He outpaces most defenders except for Ramos and van Dijk (to be expected - I can't even outpace them with Diaby)
- Deulofeu can finish on both feet. I did not notice a large gulf in quality between his strong and weak foot, and he could put most shots exactly where I told him to.
- He is a good dribbler. Deulofeu is agile and can shift the ball around well, and the 4* skill moves more than sufficed for me as he sat defenders down repeatedly.
Overall, I highly recommend this card to anyone running Serie A or Spain squads. You will not regret starting him, and while he may not be as good as a few other strikers, he is extremely good for the low budget, and a must-complete SBC. Even as a super sub, Deulofeu performs.
- Dribbling in-game is smooth and responsive
- 96 pace with Sprint Speed and Acceleration at 96 is extremely good and frees up spaces on the through balls
- Shooting is more than decent and he tucks most chances away
- 4* 4* may not be enough for higher-level players
- As he is small, he is not the strongest physically, so he works best with a bigger striker next to him.
