Hello guys and welcome to a new review on this 96 rated Premium FUTTIES SBC Kalidou Koulibaly. As soon as the SBC got released I wanted to get him and he made 94 Varane drop so much that I could finally afford him. First of all, Koulibaly is a Premium FUTTIES so although he is from the Saudi League he still gets 3 chem by default. Also a positive for 96 Ronaldo owners is the fact that Koulibaly gives 2 league links which means that all Saudi players gets at least 1 chem, with just Koulibaly in the team. So I applied the SHADOW chem style and put him in my starting 11.
For the first time since the 20th of January when 91 Flashback Sergio Ramos got released I finally found a CB better than Ramos. Koulibaly is faster than Ramos, has some extra height over him, 5* Weak Foot, even more automatic defending and more physical. I can proudly say that Sergio Ramos's replacement is here after 392 games, which are a lot of games for me.

PACE (10/10):
Koulibaly's pace is absolutely broken and he is able to catch up to anyone. With base 86 Acceleration and 95 Sprint Speed which ads up to 91 PACE, I didn't expect anything less however it surprised me how he actually caught up to some attackers when they were through and I've never seen that from one of my CBs this FIFA.
SHOOTING (N/A)
PASSING (7/10):
Keep the passes simple with him however his out side foot long passes are good with Koulibaly.
DRIBBLING (6/10):
His dribbling is the main turn off on this card. Although it says 86 Ball Control and 83 Dribbling he is so slow on the ball while you really can feel the 72 Agility and 74 Balance. It has also been a trend of Koulibaly not being able to intercept passes. When he's about to take the ball it just bounces off his feet. That might be a gameplay issue though...
DEFENDING (10/10):
The stand out point of this card - as it should be - however Koulibaly's defending is so automatic and he goes in to the tackles so aggressive and strong. Although he is "only" 187 cm/ 6'2'' his reach is really crazy and similar to Varane's. However as I earlier said, his defending should be crazy as the stats suggests: 93 Interceptions, 98 Marking, 97 Standing Tackle and 94 Slide Tackle.
PHYSICALITY (10/10):
Something that you always get with all of Koulibaly's card on every FIFA is the absolutely broken physicality and this card is no exception with his 97 JUMPING, 99 STRENGTH, 98 AGGRESSION and the big bonus of 90 STAMINA.
Card verdict: S Tier and a must complete!
-Things I've already pointed out.
-Premium FUTTIES, so he gets full chem by default.
-5* Weak Foot.
-Unique Body Type, which brings special animations that makes some players better than others.
-Price. 150k for this card is a steal and almost everyone should be able to get a 83 and 87 rated squad done.
-Great traits: Giant Throw- In and Power Header.
-Base Lengthy for the next gen players.
-Doesn't feel great on the ball.
-You're going to face him.
Honestly, I expected much more from this this daddy of a card.
He looks like a TOTS Akinfenwa in defence with decent jockey speed but he really likes to avoid playing on the side of possession, I noticed he swaps sides alot with my Varane which is kind of a let down since I wanted to make use of his 5* weakfoot on the left side. (I would imagine him to be better in a 5 back but im not a RAT so stop playing 5 back @everyone)
Physically he is great, works very well with his body type and doesn't often get shrugged off the ball or fall over when facing a lengthy such as Cech or Tammy.
He has great tackling animations, possession based which was quite positive.
I tried him 3 games on engine and 3 games on shadow chemstyle. The extra pace with shadow wasn't noticeable, nor were to the defence abilities. I would recommend an engine chemstyle to help out in the turn of possession.
If your team doesn't require any extra links, or you have a Sadio Mane hanging about, its not a bad option to complete this SBC, the value is justified.
