How a single stat ruins a card

Hello everyone,

As I was starting out 2POTM Mbappé, I decided to complete this SBC because I felt like it was fairly priced and the card looked alright. 183 games and 156 goals later, I can't say he isn't alright, but this Hernández SBC card might be one of the most frustrating players I have ever used on this game.

Needless to say, the game is trash. We play it because we're addicted to packs, and if we win more games, we get better packs. We try to replicate the real game we love, but we always get mad at it since EA Vancouver Canada doesn't allow for actual football simulation, and instead we're met with dropback cutback run 'n' gun FC. But the worst of it all is the passing, and this is where this card genuinely drives me insane. I have 86 assists with this card, but they're mostly cutbacks.

Basically speaking, if you were looking for a good get-in-behind striker, this is probably your guy. In fact, I would even say that at around 120K, he isn't even expensive. He's very fast, his finishing is pretty good and on both feet, his left stick dribbling is alright, and he has most of the best playstyles you can have - Trivela+, Technical, Rapid... He even tracks back well. However, his passing is awful. Pressing triangle with this card is a death sentence: you will lose the ball. He has that "ratty" factor similar to the Butras and Ben Yedders of this world (whose passing isn't that much better), but for me personally, a striker can't be just a guy who I ping the ball to so that he just runs and scores. A striker needs to be a true gamewinner, and this guy ain't him. Nothing on his card makes up for his atrocious passing.

In conclusion, SBC WW Hernández is a decent striker, especially as a supersub to bring on if you desperately need a goal, but his abysmal passing brings down his end-product heavily. I cannot wait to finish out Mbappé: it seems like the game isn't fun unless you have him.
