FC 24 Team of The Week 26 Predictions

TOTW 26 brings a familiar partnership back together with Son’s dominant display alongside Kane’s fourth hat trick of the campaign. Outside of that duo, we have a couple of pacey options in PEA and Paralluelo to delve into.

Giorgi Mamardashvili - GK - 80 > 85 OVR

Five saves and clean sheet  /  Valencia 1 - Getafe 0  /  7.9 Whoscored Rating

The goalkeeper this week could literally be anyone. There is no clear-cut option so I went for a division which I struggled with numbers for in La Liga. Valencia scraped their way to a 1-0 win over Getafe with Mamardashvili making several saves to keep his clean sheet intact.

Ben White - RWB - 80 > 85 OVR

Two assists  /  Arsenal 2 - Brentford 1  /  8 Sky Rating

Brentford were rather agitated with some decisions during Arsenal’s 2-1 win on Saturday but with Arsenal securing all three points it makes Ben White an appealing IF option. The Englishman assisted both Arsenal goals from RWB and while Rice claimed MOTM I still think White is the best IF option here.

Yann Aurel Bisseck - CB - 74 > 86 OVR

Goal and clean sheet  /  Bologna 0 - Inter 1  /  7 Gazzetta Rating

It's been a real breakthrough season for Bisseck who has cemented his spot at the heart of Inter Milan’s defence. The German scored the only goal of the game as Inter recorded a 1-0 away win over Bologna. A recent future star card does work against him but I feel the time between has been just enough.

Christopher Operi - LB - 71 > 86 OVR

Goal and clean sheet  /  Le Havre 1 - Toulouse 0  /  8 L’equipe Rating

With several low-scoring matches occurring in Ligue 1 it was always likely that at least one defensive option would occur. With Operi scoring the only goal of the match and claiming an 8 from L’equipe the chances of him receiving his SIF look quite high.

Salma Celeste Paralluelo - LW - 78 > 88 OVR

Four goals  /  Sociedad (W) 1 - Barcelona (W) 7  /  10 Sofascore Rating

It was yet another demolition job from Barcelona as they increased their GD to +77 after just 19 matches. Parralluelo was once again heavily involved, scoring four goals from the wing. Potentially robbed of a TOTY item this year the Spaniard has continued her superb form and will likely once again be in line for a position during next year's game.

Kerem Demirbay - CDM - 79 > 87 OVR

Hat trick  /  Galatasaray 6 - Rizespor 2  /  8.9 Sofascore Rating

It's been several years since we have seen a usable Demirbay card but after the Turkish midfielder bagged a hat trick on Friday it looks as though we will receive one on Wednesday. Although he is significantly harder to link with the featured upgrade he will likely become a decent addition to the side.

Teun Koopmeiners - CAM - 80 > 87 OVR

Two goals  /  Juventus 2 - Atalanta 2  /  8 Gazzetta Rating

Koopmeiners played a more advanced role than he is usually deployed in and it was a tactical decision which paid off well. The Dutchman scored both Atalanta goals as they managed to hold Juventus to a 2-2 draw. Koopmeiners went on to receive an 8/10 from Gazzetta which secured him POTW.

Juanmi - ST - 79 > 87 OVR

Two goals  /  Cadiz 2 - Atletico Madrid 0  /  8.5 Whoscored Rating

La Liga offered next to no options for TOTW 26 but will inevitably feature at least once, probably twice. Cadiz shocked Atletico with a 2-0 home win and with Juanmi scoring both of those goals he is by far the best option from the division.

Heung Min Son - ST - 87 > 90 OVR

Goal and two assists  /  Aston Villa 0 - Tottenham 4  /  9 Sky Rating

It’s clear to see how much Tottenham missed Son while he was away at the Asian Cup with the Korean’s performances excelling since his return. With three goal contributions during a huge match in terms of CL qualification this week I would expect Son to be the favourite for a third IF of the campaign.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - ST - 80 > 88 OVR

Two goals  /  Marseille 2 - Nantes 0  /  8 L’equipe Rating

Aubameyang has seen his best form return to him while playing in Ligue 1. Recently picking up a POTM award and still thriving in the division. His latest performance saw him score twice to help carry Marseille to a 2-0 home victory.

Harry Kane - ST - 90 > 93 OVR

Three goals, one assist  /  Bayern 8 - Mainz 1  /  1 Kicker Rating

I almost included two Munich players this week with Goretzka being extremely unfortunate to miss out. Kane is the most likely IF inclusion from the 8-1 drilling after the Englishman continued his quest to break Lewandowski’s goalscoring record with another three goals to his tally this weekend.

Leif Davis - LB - 70 > 85 OVR

Goal and two assists  /  Ipswich 3 - Bristol City 2  /  9.1 Sofascore Rating

Ipswich never make things easy but are extremely enjoyable to watch as a neutral. Another five-goal thriller unfolded on Tuesday evening with all five goals coming in the second half. Davis was involved in all three Ipswich goals from LB, scoring once and assisting another two to claim MOTM.

Jeffrey Gouweleeuw - CB - 75 > 85 OVR

Goal and clean sheet  /  Augsburg 1 - Heidenheim 0  /  2 Kicker Rating

EA don't often venture outside of four defenders in a single week but it is a possibility and with so many performing this time around TOTW 26 looks like a likely scenario for it to occur. Gouweleeuw scored the only goal of the game as Augsburg scraped a 1-0 home win.

Mario Gotze - CAM - 82 > 86 OVR

Goal and assist  /  Frankfurt 3 - Hoffenheim 1  /  1.5 Kicker Rating

This position was between both Gotze and Hack for me with both Bundesliga options making their claim. In the end, I opted for Gotze due to the high amount of lower-rated options in competition with Hack. I feel that the higher starting overall will work in Gotze’s favour.

Paul Stock - CAM - 63 > 85 OVR

Hat trick  /  Furth 1 - Elversberg 4  /  Kicker POTW

The hat tricks were flowing this week with Stock being the first of four to manage the feat on the bench. Scoring three of Elversberg’s four goals the German helped spearhead them to a 4-1 away win.

Georgios Giakoumakis - ST - 74 > 85 OVR

Hat trick  /  Atlanta 4 - New England 1  /  10 Sofascore Rating

The MLS have been favoured since their season restart with one occurring every week. This time it looks to be Giakoumakis after he scored three of Atlanta’s four during a 4-1 home win. Early signs suggest New England could struggle this season.

Louna Ribadeira - ST - 72 > 85 OVR

Hat trick  /  Paris (W) 3 - Le Havre (W) 2  /  9.1 Sofascore Rating

Coming off the bench with Paris trailing 2-0 Ribadeira took matters into her own hands. Scoring in the 61st, 67th and 89th minute to secure the comeback and all three points via a 3-2 win. There is a lot of competition this week so a midweek fixture is not ideal but Ribadeira really should be included.

Ellis Simms - ST - 68 > 85 OVR

Hat trick  /  Coventry 5 - Rotherham 0  /  9.4 Sofascore Rating

Ellis Simms has hit some serious goalscoring form with his second hat trick in quick succession coming as Coventry dispatched bottom-placed Rotherham with ease. There are several Championship options this week but Simms is the most likely.
