Today marks the first new promo of EA Sports FC 25 in the brand new Total Rush promo. What an insane lineup of cards within this promo and it’s quite likely we’ll get a Team 2! Though i’m not sure how you follow up from Ronaldo, Mbappe, De Bruyne, Griezmann and a few other gems.
But for SBC today we have a Total Rush Mallory Swanson, as well as the player we are here to talk about today which is yet another End of an Era in Alex Morgan. I may be late to the party here but up until this SBC released I did not realise that Alex Morgan does not actually have a base card on the game, so it’s very possible that this will be the one and only Morgan card of this game cycle. Did someone say Icon in FC 26?
Now this may be a bit difficult to slot into teams due to the NWSL being somewhat limited in choices. This is likely why we have seen Swanson drop as an SBC today as well. But fortunately, due to the SBC Storage, I had completed the Watt SBC so that was a nice link in itself. So Morgan drops straight into the centre of the attack in a 433 with Yamal and Watt either side of her.
I went for a Hawk chemistry style here as although upgrading the Pace is absolutely key, I also wanted to boost the physical so felt the Hawk was perfect here whilst also giving a nice additional boost to shooting. But Hunter is also going to be a very popular choice here.

5 segments in total here and this one is looking rather expensive. 325k is the current cost for this SBC but judging the stats of the card as well as that Finesse+ this could quite possibly be worth the pickup if she performs as well as the stats would suggest. I also can’t help but wonder if the inflated price is also related to the fact that this is and likely will be the only version of Alex Morgan we get this game cycle.
How did she perform in-game?
+ Shooting on this card may quite possibly be the best in the game so far. Finesse shots are incredible and seem to go in at any range. Having the 5* weak foot as well makes this an easy shooting option in any position. Long shots also just seem to find its way to the back of the net despite this being the lowest shooting stat.
+ Dribbling was also impressive. Great ball control and composure in high pressure situations.
+ Attacking positioning is really effective too as she constantly looks for an open space to receive the ball which would then lead to an easy curl into the net.
/ Passing for a striker is okay, short passes were the best option but otherwise wasn’t much to talk about
/ Pace isn’t ideal for a striker but the incredible shooting saves this as it helps limit any requirement for movement
Morgan - Cop or Flop?
This SBC is by no means cheap, but as I said this might actually be one of the best finishers in the game. Now I haven’t been able to use the likes of Mbappe but for 300k this has to be one of the best finishers in the game. Finesse shots were very overpowered and oddly long shots in general seemed to be real easy to score. It’s worth noting that we also get 5 weeks to complete this SBC so there's plenty of time to grind for this card.
Usually, I wouldn’t say dropping a large amount of coins on an SBC this early is wise but I really think that we’ll be seeing a lot of Morgan in Champs and expect a lot of broken controllers. If you can afford it, this is a must pickup.
Verdict = COP
