It’s promo day and it’s a double release with both a main and icon team dropping, Olise, Gyokeres, Rashford, Saliba, Mbappe all line up in the main team and look incredible, and then there is the icon team and my eyes are on that 95 Zidane, I'm allowed to dream aren't I?
A lot of content has arrived and it's not even 6pm yet and I guess we should expect yet another player SBC later today but for now we’re going to focus on this 89-rated Saka as the Star Boy picks up a card which has attributes that to be honest his normal item should have given his performances.
Saka slots in the to RM role in this team actually replacing Salah who was moved to Striker for this review, for the Chemstyle it feels a bit obvious… Hunter!

9 segments in total for this SBC, It’s a bit much. Especially given his 88-rated inform is only 25,000 coins, so they’ll be a lot to discuss in terms of value for money later on, especially with this being a ‘live’ card. This Saka in total is coming to over 700,000 coins, is Finesse+ worth 675,000?
How did he perform in-game?
Finesse+, it makes sense to start here as shooting playstyles play such a key role in taking players from ‘good’ to ‘great’ and that is kind of what’s happening he in regards to Saka’s scoring ability.
I have to mention Saka’s pace here as this item did feel quick for me, noticeably quicker than previous items both when taking the ball forward and even more so when tracking back without the ball!
Crossing and Short Passing specifically, Saka’s link up play was excellent, quick short passes and very good run making made him so fun to use on the wing.
His ability on the ball to dribble was also really high, he was easy to control and very responsive.
Through balls, they just didn't go to plan with this item, they’re not awful by any means but for a high rated item they were incredibly inconsistent.
Saka - Cop or Flop?
It’s a live item, and you’d expect Arsenal to get the goals to get him that extra upgrade but even with that boost it’s so hard to justify the price tag, If he was able to get maybe 2 new Playstyle PLUSES then we’re talking, as that would be a real gamechanger.
For this item to get the upgrades Arsenal need to win 2 of their next 5 PL games for the +2 New Normal Playstyles & a new Role+, and Arsenal need to score 6 in their next 5 PL games for the +1 OVR and new Role+, so you’d like to think both are likely.
I really did enjoy using this Saka, but it’s a couple SBC’s too many, so i’d recommend giving a miss, The SBC is out for a while though, and if EA drop the right SBC’s he could become easily grindable, so you don’t need to rush to complete him.
Verdict = COP…BUT only if you’re an Arsenal fan.
