FC 25 92 Immortals Thierry Henry Player Review - Cop or Flop

Day three into the Immortals promotion and we’ve had an absolute Banger of an SBC hit the menus. Thierry Henry’s “Baby” Immortal card is now available to complete as an SBC and it might be too soon to say, but this has to be a Cop? 

It’s worth noting of course there is two versions better than this card with the 95-rated Immortal Henry currently in packs as well as the TOTY Icon Henry that is just one rating higher. This version however comes with the very favourable Low Driven Playstyle+ and is marginally cheaper than the other two versions. Let’s take a look at this item! 

Compared to the TOTY version this card has some simple -1s & 2s across the board so in all honesty it’s likely not noticeable. What is however is the absence of 5*/5* in Skill Moves and Weak Foot. As this item comes with 4*/4* which certainly has the community up in arms. But honestly I don’t think it’s the be all end all for this SBC. If he performs just as well as the TOTY version and comes in at under half the price, we shouldn’t turn our nose on this item too quickly.

The Hawk chemstyle feels pretty clear of the others here, boosts up the pace and shooting to near max stats with a light boost to the physicals as well. Making him a well rounded striker!

I was expecting a lot more than 10 segments for a Thierry Henry SBC and a price tag of around 1.1 million coins really is a fair price. The SBC is nearly half and half in votes which I feel has to be due to the Weak Foot and Skill moves because otherwise this is a banging SBC with a great pricetag!

How did he perform in-game?

+ As you would expect with an Henry item, the shooting is fantastic. Low Driven is really OP right now and he does it very well. He’s incredibly clinical with his shots all round, rarely missing his mark.

+ Pace was nice too, with the ability to burst through the opposition and charge toward goal.

+ Dribbling likewise was great, he’s very agile on the ball and makes quick snappy turns which left defenders on the floor.

+ Physically, he was solid, he could really barge through players with ease and hold off even those elite defenders when trying to make a break through.

+ His positioning was top-notch too and he was an absolute workhorse on the pitch. Constantly moving to work with his team and getting into the right spot to pickup the ball and build up the play.

+ For a striker his passing was perfect too. He can play in the LW position so he’s incredibly versatile on that front but as mentioned, he works well with his team and even bagged himself a fair few assists along the way.

Henry - Cop or Flop?

I knew this card would be incredible even before completing the SBC as I have been using his TOTY version in my main team for some time now. With the slight downgrades I knew this item would be incredibly similar and he was. Sure some people may not like the 4*/4* but honestly I did not notice it at all in-game and was just as impressed as I have ever been with a Thierry Henry item. 

For half the price of the TOTY and 7x less than the upgraded Immortal version, this SBC is an absolute steal and it’ll be no shock to me whatsoever to see many people pickup this SBC. If you have the facilities, you should get this card unlocked. If you have any concerns about the WF/SM, then pickup the loan and see for yourself. This is a top-tier striker and I would highly recommend the cop here.
