TOTW 11 looks to be middle of the range with limited high-rated players but some hidden gems. Headlining the side, we have Lavelle’s play-off–winning goal, Eze’s dramatic London Derby treble, Murillo’s goal against Liverpool and Olise’s five-contribution performance.
Alphonse Areola - GK - 77 > 83 OVR
Ten saves, one assist / Bournemouth 2 - West Ham 2 / 9 Sky Rating
While West Ham were unable to hold onto the three points during their 2-2 away draw with Bournemouth, Areola was outstanding throughout. With ten saves in total, he denied Bournemouth time and time again. The Frenchman then topped his performance off with an assist, claiming MOTM with a 9/10 in the process.
Kalidou Koulibaly - CB - 82 > 86 OVR
One assist / Al-Hilal 2 - Al-Fateh 1 / 7.9 Sofascore Rating
There was a lack of options when it came to defenders this week, gold ones in particular. The Saudi division gets an IF each week without fail, and there was not an easy selection this time. Koulibaly fills both quotas, so it makes sense to take the punt on him. The defender provided an assist during Al-Hilal’s 2-1 win, despite the side ending the match with ten men.
Murillo - CB - 83 > 86 OVR
Goal and clean sheet / Liverpool 0 - Nottingham Forest 3 / 8 Sky Rating
Liverpool continue to tumble down the division, now sitting eleventh after another loss, this time to Forest, who have looked significantly better since the appointment of Dyche. A convincing 3-0 win was not expected regardless of the situation. Murillo scored the opening goal while also helping secure the clean sheet. Sky awarded him MOTM with an 8/10, which lines up an exciting IF.
Daniel Munoz - RB - 81 > 84 OVR
Goal and clean sheet / Wolves 0 - Palace 2 / 7 Sky Rating
Muñoz has been a consistent threat for Palace this season, with the Colombian given an attacking role for the side. Muñoz scored the opener this weekend, with Palace being the latest team to beat hapless Wolves, this time 2-0. And while he wasn’t the official MOTM, with defensive options being few and far between, I couldn’t ignore his goal and clean sheet.
Ferran Torres - LW - 83 > 86 OVR
Two goals / Barcelona 4 - Athletic Club 0 / 9.2 Sofascore Rating
Barcelona’s win on Saturday took them to the top of the league, albeit with Madrid having a game in hand. A Torres brace helped guide Barcelona to a 4-0 win. The Spaniard has been snubbed on a couple of occasions already this season, but this looks set to be the week he finally gets the nod.
Eberechi Eze - CAM - 83 > 86 OVR
Hat trick / Arsenal 4 - Tottenham 1 / 9 Sky Rating
With both Liverpool and City losing, a dominant win over rivals Tottenham gives Arsenal a huge advantage in the title race, with many suggesting the race is already over. It was a horrid day to be a Tottenham fan, with Eze being the player doing most of the damage. A hat-trick from the Englishman helped secure the 4-1 win.
Rose Lavelle - CM - 87 > 89 OVR
One goal / Washington 0 - Gotham 1 / 7 Sofascore Rating
While this match was rather underwhelming in terms of individual performances, with it being the final of the NWSL play-offs an IF is practically guaranteed from the match. Lavelle scored the only goal of the game, which saw Gotham go on to lift the title, and in turn makes Lavelle the sensible IF selection.
Michael Olise - RM - 86 > 87 OVR
Two goals, three assists / Munich 6 - Freiburg 2 / 1 Kicker Rating
With Rating Reloads being a couple of promotions ago now, I expect the players included in those promotions to now be able to receive IFs, especially with Olise’s performance. Directly involved in five goals, with two of his own alongside three assists, the Frenchman helped guide Munich to a 6-2 home win over Freiburg.
Marco Asensio - CM - 80 > 86 OVR
Two goals, one assist / Rizespor 2 - Fenerbahce 5 / 9 Sofascore Rating
With EA’s clear preference towards the Turkish Super Lig, a featured IF for the division shouldn’t be off the cards, especially with Asensio being such a familiar name. Fenerbahce came out on top of a seven-goal thriller with a 5-2 win. The Spaniard scored twice and assisted one during the match, claiming MOTM with a high match rating.
Deniz Undav - ST - 80 > 86 OVR
Hat trick / Dortmund 3 - Stuttgart 3 / 1 Kicker Rating
Undav narrowly missed out recently on his first IF, but after a hat-trick away at Dortmund it’s inevitable this time. While Stuttgart only came away with a point, one away at Dortmund is still a strong result, especially with both clubs battling it out for a top-four position. Undav is one of the easiest selections this week.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - ST - 81 > 87 OVR
One goal, two assists / Nice 1 - Marseille 5 / 8 L’equipe Rating
Marseille are most definitely in the title race now, with their continued strong performances meaning they are keeping pace with league leaders PSG. Their latest match saw them win 5-1 away at PSG, with both Greenwood and PEA claiming an 8/10 from L’Équipe. With the former recently picking up a POTM card, I would expect PEA to be the player who ends up in TOTW for his goal and two assists. After a featured IF last week, this card gives flashbacks to his radioactive card.
Substitutes
Mathias Laborda - LB - 70 > 83 OVR
One goal / Vancouver 2 (4) - LAFC (3) 2 / 9 Sofascore Rating
The MLS is approaching the final stages of their season, with the quarter-finals occurring this week. I expect an IF from the division now that we are at such a deep stage, and Laborda seems to be the best option. The Uruguayan scored one of Vancouver’s two goals as they progressed after penalties to upset LAFC and reach the final.
Margaux Le Mouel - CDM - 77 > 83 OVR
Two goals / Marseille 2 - Lens 0 / 8.6 Sofascore Rating
While we are used to the D1 IF coming from either Lyon or PSG, it appears as though the best option this week is Le Mouel from Marseille. The French midfielder scored both their goals as they went on to secure a 2-0 win at home to Lens.
Harvey Barnes - LM - 80 > 84 OVR
Two goals / Newcastle 2 - Man City 1 / 8 Sky Rating
Newcastle have struggled for large portions of the season, but they will be hoping this result helps kickstart their campaign. A Harvey Barnes brace saw Newcastle come away with a 2-1 home win, and while there were a lot of Premier League options this week, this is one that seems highly unlikely to miss out.
Mahdi Camara - CM - 78 > 83 OVR
One goal, one assist / Rennes 4 - Monaco 1 / 8 L’equipe Rating
Rennes made it three consecutive defeats for Monaco, who continue to tumble down the Ligue 1 table, with an impressive 4-1 home win. There were two strong candidates for the TOTW spot, with both Camara and Boudlal being graded an 8 by L’Équipe. With the latter being a silver defender, a category that is highly competitive this week, I would expect the IF to end up going Camara’s way, with his goal and assist from CM.
Mateo Pellegrino - ST - 67 > 83 OVR
Two goals / Verona 1 - Parma 2 / 7.5 Sofacore Rating
Serie A candidates were few and far between this week, so I had to take the punt on one or two. Pellegrino is one of the better options for me, with the forward scoring both of Parma’s goals as they recorded a 2-1 away win over Verona. Silver strikers with two goals in top five leagues continue to find their way into TOTW, so it makes sense for Pellegrino to be the punt.
Ane Azkona - ST - 76 > 83 OVR
Hat trick / Granada 1 - Athletic Club 5 / 9.5 Sofascore Rating
The Liga F IF was an easy decision to make this week, with Azkona scoring three times during a 5-1 away win over Granada. There were a lot of hat-tricks scored this week, but with a Liga F IF expected each week, I would expect Azkona to be one who gets included.
Fabio Abreu - ST - 74 > 84 OVR
Four goals / Guoan 5 - Hakka 1 / 10 Sofascore Rating
Abreu is scoring for fun this season. He added another four to his tally during a 5-1 home win, taking his total to 29 in 33 for the season. This would be his second IF of the season and likely won’t be the last one either.

Reserves
Damon Mirani - CB - 67 > 83 OVR
Two goals / Heracles 4 - GA Eagles 2 / 8.6 Sofascore Rating
Anton Ekeroth - LB - 63 > 83 OVR
Three assists and clean sheet / HamKam 5 - Haugesund 0 / 8.9 Sofascore Rating
Tommaso Pobega - CM - 74 > 83 OVR
Two goals / Udinese 0 - Bologna 3 / 8 Gazzetta Rating
Naatan Skytta - CM - 71 > 83 OVR
Hat trick / Kaiserslautern 4 - Kiel 1 / 10 Sofascore Rating
Tyrese Campbell - ST - 72 > 83 OVR
Two goals / Sheffield Wednesday 0 - Sheffield United 3 / 8.6 Sofascore Rating
