Looking for another CDM to bolster my 3-5-2 Serie A squad, I ended up buying Vecino IF. I prefer my CDM tall, fairly pacey and strong with high defending skills & decent passing. I know, quite a list. Vecino doesn't look that spectacular from his stats, as he looks like a jack of all trades but he is certaintly not a master of none. With the right chemistry style, I play him with anchor but backbone or sentinel would work great as well, he is an absolute stealer for a CDM for the price you pay.
Don't be fooled by his pace, as he feels quicker than his 79 pace due to his high acceleration. He has decent long shots and he scores every now and then for me from the open field. Knocks in a couple of corners as well occasionally. His passing is very solid with 88 short and 84 long passing matched with 86 vision. Ball control and dribbling is great as well, and his defensive skills are perfect for his role. Wins a lot of headers due to his height and actually shoves most players off the ball as well!
In summary - worth every penny. I don't want to spend over 20k on a CDM at this stage of the game and therefore this is the perfect player for my squad at this stage.
