Going into this past weekend I was really excited for this promo. Saved up two weeks of untradeable Division 4 rank 1 rewards, and two gold 1 rewards to hopefully be able to pack one of these crazy looking meta cards. Yes. after probably over 1 mil in packs, I got 0, yes 0 walkouts, and only 3 boards. The fifa gods encouraged me to halt, and stop playing this tormenting game. But no, it was time for something new. I recently picked up the fut swaps Da Costa, and I have had the untradeable live Tah, so the links for Havertz were easy to come by. I picked up Kai Havertz for 500k at the very beginning of the promo, and put a hunter chem style on the man, playing him alongside Felipe Anderson otw at striker.
With the Stay Central, Balanced attack, and stay on the edge of the box for crosses directions applied, Havertz was a goal scoring machine.
In the 18 games it took me to get to gold 3, I scored 35 goals and had 7 assists with this man.
Pace - (9/10) - With hunter applied taking him to 98 pace even, he was fast. Being 6'2" and with not super high balance, he was quick, but nothing compared to his strike partner (Felipe Anderson). Still he got the job done.
Shooting - (10/10) - Dayum. This man cranks. if it is off a rainbow, a header, green timed finesse, long shot, in the box, just shoot and he will score you a goal. one out of every ten shots though you can expect that, no matter what green timed or not he will hit it just close enough for the keeper to get it, or hit it a little over or wide. But hey, still good enough.
Passing - (10/10) - Look at those stats. They live up to their numbers. He is shockingly good at picking people out. I have 91 kroos and even from striker it is noticeable how much stronger of a passer Havertz is, i'd imagine due to his 98 vision.
Dribbling - (9/10) - The ball sticks to his foot. Not everyone will like how he dribbles, but if you slow the game down and let people run by you in anticipation of your movement, then you will be quite happy with this man. A few of his goals were in result of him getting tackled, yet somehow keeping the ball and putting it past the man. Very EAidsy. Very meta.
Defending - (NA) - Nothing to say, but his heading is excellent. 6 of his 35 goals were headers off of corners.
Physical - (7.5/10) - He is strong, but not strong enough. This is supplemented by his great dribbling when creating an attack. I was never worried about this because he is usually able to slip away fro the attackers anyway.
To cap off the weekend, I looked at his record, I looked at his card, I looked at his price, I though there is no way he would stay at the inflated price of ~600k, so I was able to sell for 605k and am now very happy as the man has dropped like a rock. Good way to end a weekend!!!
PS - He is going to get a 5* weak foot upgrade in winter upgrades so he will even be better when that time comes.

Price, will buy back when he gets around 400k.
At CM his stam will lack, playing him at striker negates the ~80 stam.
After some decent packluck during the headliners promo, I had around 650k to spend on a new CAM in a bundesliga/la liga hybrid and came across FS Havertz. He's been my go-to player in the past 2 WL's, playing around 65 games and contributing 32 goals and 35 assists. This man can do it all; silky smooth on the ball, gliding through defenders and executing skill moves with ease. His shooting is sublime, with the marksman chem style, Havertz finishes scoring chances on both feet from outside the box, inside the box, wherever the ball is, it's going in the net. As a CAM, I really wanted to test his passing and having previously used Pogba, I can safely say Havertz is miles above. An exceptional passer of the ball, I was able to pinpoint passes to my forwards with minimal effort.
Apart from Flashback Ibra, Havertz is one of my favourite cards I have used this year. If you have the budget and need a CAM for your squad, look no further.
When the FS promo was released I was slightly pessimistic - more expensive cards that I'll never pack? Great! But after the Frenkie De Jong SBC dropped, I decided to sell my Premier League studs (Hazard, Kante and KDB) and built a new team around the Ajax duo and the absolute gem that is Kai Havertz.
This guy might be the future of the German team, but he's the present of my Ultimate Team squad. Playing at CAM behind Werner and Ibra in a 3-5-2, his positioning is second to none. He's always in the right spots and can often get an open shot away from the top of the box due to most opponents always showing him onto his left foot, assuming that all players are right-footed. If not for manual goalies and that prick Thibaut Courtois, he'd probably have 60+ goals for me already. Instead, averaging one a game will have to do.
In the second half I'll move him up to striker and give Werner a rest, and he's just as, if not more potent - his combination of height and pace is a nightmare to deal with, and he's only going to get more beastly when they (hopefully) upgrade his weak foot from four stars to five.
I was away the past two weekends so haven't tried him in WL yet, but he already looks like he'll be a difference maker for me. Since changing up my squad I've got from 1450 rivals points to 1800, and he's the main reason why. Yes, he's very expensive, but he's outplaying any icon I've had in my team this year in attacking positions. If you can afford him, go get him. You won't regret it.
I bought Havertz after hearing good things about him. Well i bought him and wasn't surprised to find out that he actually was sensational. On his debut, he scored 5. His 5*4* combo is great and his finishing is 10/10. In division 3, he constantly performs, alongside my prime Figo and Nedved.
When i came up against this dude i was blown away as the dude was using a very good team with icons. but Havertz scored 4 goals against me and i knew i had to get him into my team. Fortunatly i packed him in the guaranteed ffs player pack so i didnt have to buy him of the market for 100k. i somehow put him in my team. playing as a CAM he had the best record for me for a CAM.
To start with - don't get me wrong, Havertz is a good player in every way you can think of, but I want to tell my own experience and the performance he showed during the time in my squad.
I literally bought this guy 3 times.
First was when this card came out and i wanted to test him together with my POTM Reus (91 back then, now 94) in a 4-2-3-1 CAM-Position on the right side.
At this time, he still had 4* SB and 4* WF.
After 2 or 3 games i was wondering if i even put him in my starting squad, because he was actually a shadow on the field without applying shadow on him...
I'm not the type of guy who tests a player a few games with always passing the ball to him - i want to see the performance in the squad so i always play "normally" without providing any special treatment.
So, after realizing that i've seen nothing from him so far i switched to my standard 4-2-3-1(2) with one cam and put him there with Reus moving to the striker position.
There he came out of his snail shell a bit. He showed some good throug balls, some very consistent passing and even scored me a few goals due to his good (but not op) finesse shots.
After 10 games i had to say - he was ok. Not as present as Reus, but far away from the boost i hoped he would give my team.
A bit disappointed, i sold him with 4 goals and 4 assists and the knowledge that my playstyle might be the case i couldn't use him to his full potential.
The second time i bought him was a few weeks later because i read a lot of positive comments about him and how well he is in the cam or even in the striker position.
I thought it was my own fault back then if so many people are pleased with him on the pitch.
What can i say... this time i focused more on him, tried to match my playstyle to his strenghts and get the most out of his impressive stats... and failed again.
He was really doing a decent job in the mid, but that's it. When i test new players out i have one iron rule - they have to be present, i have to know what i can do with them in certain situations and they have to bring my team a benefit. He wasn't up to my expectations again. I sold him again.
Last time i bought him was a couple of days ago, now with the 5* WF upgrade and with a new striker role. So you can't say i gave him no chance, guys.
Long story short - he felt too weak, too easy to push around, not winning the important headers, not scoring the game changing goals, not performing outstanding in any way he should (at least sometimes) with this stats.
I sold him again yesterday. I personally think that he's not worth the amount of coins he's at right now. He's a good midfielder, a very good passer and he can score some goals in- and outside the box, but let's be honest - this type of desription fits dozens of other players as well, most of them a lot cheaper.
End of story.
great passer
great vision
5* WF
good dribbler
good shooting, but not exeptional
can't seem to bring his stats on the pitch
sometimes off balance
sometimes off position (maybe due to med/med, i couldn't figure it out)
