Gentlemen, ladies, don’t get be mistaken Benjamin Pavard is just amazing! I got it in a rare mega pack that EA offered for FUT Birthday, so unsellable. I had some doubts about him initially about his low market price and his general stats for an RB (yes, I use it in lateral and not in center back), but I still wanted to test it and … it was a very good surprise! I finished this week end league for the first time Elite 3 (I play on PS4), and I think its in part thanks to him !
I explain: Pavard is firstly a monster defensively, he’s always well placed, (88 in marking) and he’s very effective in 1vs1, as well as in the air that with the ball on foot. (89 in interceptions, 95 jumping) It’s simple, I don’t count the lot of his interceptions that he could make during this week end league! In addition to being tall enough for a lateral (1m86), he has a very good stamina and a sufficient strength for this position that allows it to repeat the efforts and to be solid for 90 min, see more.
Pavard has also a good ability to bring the ball out of defence and quality of distribution.(93 in short Passing, 95 in long Passing), which allows each time at the team to go well forward, but also in the construction of offensive phases : he brings the ball admirably and his crossings stills correct. But obviously, it depends on your style to play less or more offensive.
Finally, his speed may seem a handicap at first sight but I assure you that with a shadow style, it can catch almost anyone without worries. So yes, he’s not as fast as a Walker or a Cancelo, but he will do and I’ve no problem with that. To sum up, Pavard is very good defensively and very complete for a very good price ratio, buy it; you won’t be disappointed!

I was happy with my dani alves, tried cancelo sold him due to chem issues, got aurier found him out of position most of the times and then I did Timo Werner FUT Birthday SBC as my RW and I needed a RB with a chem for him and ended up buying him due to his cheap price and easy link with varane/desaily and Werner. But trust me I ended up selling both aurier and cancelo because of him. Since he came I have conded only one goal from crosses from his wing in 30+ matches. He is hulk in defence and hawk in attack. I used a shadow on him to boost the pace. He and werner are like made for each other. When price of Aurier and Cancelo are in 200k range this guy is a steal and forget LALA. He is like a kid in front of this guy. He has the height the stats and the interceptions. I use 4 1 2 1 2 and he works as an extra CB at times. Get him and don't look back.
Interceptions - 5/5 . He catches up with most attackers even very pacy ones. If you are at min 75 and above proabably they can outrun him as I use him on attack and it impacts the stamina. Otherwise he is a beast.
Height - He is fucking tall and you can try crossing over him all day
Winning Ball Back - I use a more pressured approach to defence and he wins the ball from those long passes opponents make.
Linking - His country and league makes him one of the best hybrid players you can use in pitch.
Crossing - He has good crossing skills. Not to the telles level but yes he can surely supply a through ball to your werner when your opponent can just look in the air and see the ball falling perfectly to his foot.
Positioning - This is the best thing about this card. Ever present every where.
Physicality - Remember the hound in game of thrones . You got him here. He wins balls from like De Rossi and very strong players on the pitch.
Stamina - if you use him on balanced and on attack then he might be a little slow after 75 mins. He has 85 stamina. So I guess its due to my high pressure than anything else.
Dribbling - He is not a great dribbler.
Shooting - Hey I got werner, neymar, crespo and mbappe so he doesnt see the box that often. Its just average I would say.
