Before I say anything, I am not a player who regularly plays Fifa religiously. Due to the broken mechanics and the pure stress and anger Fifa creates I rarely play weekend league. Therefore I have put no money into the game and I use cards for the fun of it. I had my highest finish of Gold 1 and this is partly due to this tank.
Lige 1 has very few viable CDMs that I feel suit me. Therefore I often found that I was conceding many goals as gold Ndombele just doesn't play well against all the guillts and R9s that you come up against.
The best way to describe him is as a mixture of Kante and Declan rice. He has the height of Rice and the speed and tackling of Kante. The fact is that he has decent recovery speed and supreme tackling that can become even greater with chem styles. Half the time he doesn't need to tackle as he intercepts everything. His 96 interceptions mean that he has single-handedly stopped and started attacks that lead to me scoring goals.
His distribution is also key. As a CDM you need a player that can start attacks. M'vila is perfect at doing this. His long and short passing is sublime and means he does get quite a few assists from through balls that he plays when on the counter-attack. The only criticism in the passing is the 3* weak foot. I feel that this does make him easier to predict and can cause his passes to go wayward.
A bonus of adding an anchor is the improvement to jumping and heading accuracy. These improvements make him a threat to corners if he receives them. I found that his impact from scoring from corners was reduced due to TIF Schar and TOTS Dembele being my main threats but he still managed to find the net 3 times from corners. I rarely shot with him but when I did it felt as if it was aimless and it was more of a hit and hope. Therefore I wouldn't use him at CM or a CAM. I tend not to dribble with CDMs so I rarely used it but I felt that his composure let him down as when under pressure his passes seemed less accurate which is a major factor in why he isn't suitable for elite 3 or above.
Overall he was amazing and a refreshing and easy card to get and I feel it is a steal. As he is a very usable card and can be used for SBCs later in the game for icon SBCs.
