I got his champions league card after using his normal card out of one of the champions league upgrades and decided to test him out. Overall he can be good in moments and bad in others. His reaction saves are very good, he is very athletic and agile. He never catches the ball of corners and always will choose to punch the ball out which goes wrong a lot of the time as it usually ends up in the other team having another shot. He still gets beaten from OP angles as you would expect. Tea Stegan has the trait sweeper keeper which personally i don't like as most chipped through balls over the defence he comes rushing out for sometimes he has passed it straight to the other time giving them an open goal to shoot at and other times the game lets you take over but you never know if it will auto clear or you control. Other than that he overall makes good saves in 1on1's he has saved me many times saving it with his flailing arm.
Ter Stegen has been by far the most consistent keeper I've used this year. after using him for 30 or so games, I switched my team to have goalies such as: Neuer, Buffon, Lloris, Alisson: but could never find the type of consistency that came from ter stegen. after using a new card for 90+ games, I can confidently say this is by far the greatest keeper I've used this year. ter stegen brings a high level of consistency along with the ability to stop wonderful shots from any angle. Even when my defense would completely fail, Ter Stegen held strong in the back. this card has the ability to stop balls from every angle, along with the intelligence to come out of his area. Ter stegen remains consistent and strong in every aspect of the game.
-> consistent saves from every angle
-> ability to stop great shots
-> movement around the box which aids in making more saves
I have a Bundesliga team and needed a keeper and I tried the likes of Neuer and Fahrmann UCL Live and they were poor. My CBs are both German so I tried Ter Stegen and what a beast he is! Saves 90% of 1 on 1 situations and rushes out when needed. He does occasionally catch the ball but punches it to safety if he doesn't so you will not concede even if he punches the ball as it manages to out of the box, away from danger.
Ter Stegen is the second best keeper I have used next to De Gea. Although he is short for keeper standards, he still pulls out some wonderful saves. He is fast from rushing out his line - I play a high line and when my opponenet does a threaded through ball within the box he is always there first. His kicking is his best attribute, he has gotten some assist with his long kicks and I am not afraid to pass it back to him, unlike Courtois. Only other keeper who I have tried that has better kicking is Ederson.
Distribution - Rarely mishits a ball and his short passing is also unreal. His four star weak foot makes me feel confident passing it back to him.
Reflexes - When he is rushing towards my opponent he always pulls out a save before the opponent can react.
4 Star WF
Very fast
Short, he sometimes can't reach power shots and has gotten beaten by Ibrahimovic and Van Dijk in corners.
Maybe shots that are right on the corner. Even if I move my keeper he can't reach them.
