When I saw the Future Stars Promo, I was immediately drawn to this card. I was lucky enough to pack him in a 100k pack and immediately put him in my team as he fit perfectly. He has perfect all around stats for a Box to Box CM but can also drop back to CDM if needed. The major thing that stuck out to me is his speed. Having high agility, balance and acceleration, Guendouzi is an absolute rapid player that is a very quick center mid to use. His passing is exceptional with a mixture of short and long passes due to the perfect weight he puts on the passes to get them into the hard to reach places. I found that his interceptions is his key defensive stat as he was able to poach the loose balls with ease. He will not be a tank of a CM like some of the stronger players in the game but was never really pushed off the ball easily. He has crazy ball control and is able to keep the ball close to him to stay composed under pressure. I also found that, even though his attack positioning stat was very low, he was able to be in position for passes where he needed to be. Finally, all of this culminates with Guendouzi's long shots. If he is given enough space, the mix of shot power and long shots is insane and will most likely score you many goals. Overall, Guendouzi is one of the best CM's I've used this year because in game he is an all around monster on the pitch.

For me as the big fan of Arsenal this card was must buy for me. This review is general as if from player fifa.

I bought him for 500k and i dont regret any single penny. I played with him in 3rd division and I love this card. I play him as cdm a long side with matuidi. He is so fast, that he can catch up with anyone even with TOTY cards. When he is somewhere around the box you can just take a shot with his 94 long shots. At defending he is way better than 79 on his card with anchor he is on 87 defending and he is just awesome. His dribling is good as well and awesome for midfielder. The worst part of this card is propably his sprint speed but you can fix it with chem styles like anchor or shadow.

If you are wondering about who to buy betwene pogba, kante or guendouzi just go for guendouzi you wont regret it. He can play anywhere in midfielder cm, cdm or cam.

A Bit of Backstory

I'm guessing if you are reading this review, you are thinking about investing in this card. For me, as an Arsenal fan, when I saw this card come out in December, (or January, I can't remember), I had to save up for him. Being the Division 5, Silver 1 player that I am, I knew that I would have to be patient, especially with his price being 500k at the time. I had to save up, and with also doing the Ramsey EOAE SBC and a couple of Carniball players (as you can see through my squad link), it took me longer than I hoped. But it was definitely worth the wait!

I have had a few different teams throughout the year, (https://www.futbin.com/19/squad/2958489) (https://www.futbin.com/19/squad/6371372) (https://www.futbin.com/19/squad/5946085) and (https://www.futbin.com/19/squad/4761919) to show you a few. And as you can see, I have had the likes of De Bruyne, Fabinho, Doucoure, Kante, Mkhitaryan and more which I have used as midfielders. But I never had the "perfect CM", with the ability to drop back and defend, and also bring the ball forward to ignite an attack. De Bruyne and Mkhitaryan were too attacking, Kante and Fabinho didn't have good enough Passing and shooting, and Doucoure was just too "truck like" on the ball, although he is definitely a player I would recommend for a CDM role.

Then I had enough coins to buy Guendouzi (about 3 weeks ago). Let's get into the review...

Review

(N.B, I am not a fan of stats in FIFA, I think they can be very misleading, so I will tell you how this man feels in-game, rather than showing the numbers)

As a CM, this guy will only improve your squad. He is a great box-to-box player. he has a great range of passing, great defensive work, and his positioning is incredible! The only let-down for this position is that he seems to be very tired towards the last 15 minutes or so at the end of the game. Of course, this can be fixed easily through custom tactics.

As a CDM (which is where I currently use him), he is incredible! I know that you may feel it is a waste of his great attacking stats, but I feel his defence is very good, and when he picks up the ball he can dribble very nicely before setting off a pass to a winger or striker!

As a CAM, he is not at his best. His defence is wasted, although is nice when you when the ball back high into your opposition's half. Also, his passing isn't quite good enough for a CAM. Once again, this can be sorted out with a Catalyst Chemistry Style.

Speaking of chemistry styles, I would recommend Anchor for CDM, Powerhouse for CM, and Catalyst for CAM. But, it all depends on what your play-style is like.

I was actually lucky enough to meet and have a photo with Guendouzi. I am a big Arsenal fan. If you are also an Arsenal fan, I would advise you definitely save up for this man!

So first of all i was looking for a cdm/cm box to box midfielder for my team next to my prime ballack. Since Ballack is staying back while attacking i was looking for a more box to box type of player. I had to go with either a French, Brazil or Icon CDM/CM. I had like 1mil to spend. I read some comments on futbin and most of them were not too good to be fair, but nevertheless i tried him out , and i am sooooo happy i did it , cuz this guy is one of the best midfielders i have ever used ( and yes i used player like vieira , gullit baby etc) he reads the play perfectly for me and is basically a ngolo kante but he can shoot and win headers.

He is the perfect box to box player cuz he can do everything and his workrates are not a big deal, i didnt notice anything of it.
