Surprised there wasn't a review about him yet, so decided to write one. I managed to get him into my player picks from the Ultimate TOTS and will be basing my review around a good 40 matches with him, including Weekend League (14-3) and D1 Division Rivals.

To simply put it, he is an excellent defender worthy of being in every competitive team around FUT in this stage. He's quite tall (despite his height being 6'5 in previous FIFAs) and so incredibly strong, no attackers will outmuscle him, probably the strongest player in the game I have ever used (yes, and I have used 96 VVD). Because of his jumping being 90 with the Anchor chemstyle I've used, and his perfect Strength / Aggression combination, you will not have to worry about losing headers to attackers because I literally can't remember him conceding from a cross, as his defensive positioning is great as well which really helps him get into a good position to win the headers. From corners I've managed to score two goals, he definitely has the ability to win these headers and put them past the goal keeper as well, but he won't win as many when in defense because his positioning in attack isn't great.

His defending is 99 across all stats with the chemstyle, and you notice that. Top-notch tackling, excellent marking and his interceptions were what stood out the most to me. He intercepts so much, despite not having the best acceleration, and his 99 reactions is the second reason why. He will react incredibly quickly to every loose ball and most likely get to it because of his agressiveness and strength, he will not only when he's up against a pacier player off the ball. If they're on the ball it won't be a problem, he's got enough speed to outrun them.

And then you might be wondering about his passing ability. His vision is really low, even for a centre back, but both his passing stats being in the 90s (max. for short pass) I've truthfully not found it to be a problem. His 99 Composure comes into play here as he will always play the ball out calmly.

Finally his stamina and his workrates. 79 may seem low, but it's absolutely fine for a centre back. I've used Chiellini 95 and not even found his stamina too bad (not enough for 90+ minutes though) but Koulibaly will definitely be alright if you keep your fullbacks to stay back so he won't have to take over that position. High / High workrates could have been a problem, but as with most players, custom instructions will most likely negate them, he never bumps forward, he always stays nicely in position.

I've got only one con for his card - which is his dribbling. You may call me crazy for nitpicking the dribbling on a centre back, but his mobility is just not there. From time to time (not necessarily every single time) he fouls players because of his clunky movement (and incredible strength). His dribbling stat itself isn't too bad, nor is his ball control, but because of his movement on the ball I can't negate it. I've got 92 Blanc next to him and despite his dribbling being lower, you totally feel the difference.

Despite that little negative, I think for 400K you've got yourself an excellent deal and a player that will be able to help you gain those extra wins because he is so good allround. He may be hard to link in terms of his nation, but he's in a very good ligue with lots of good defenders, such as FB Sandro, TOTS Chiellini, TOTS Cancelo, Donnarumma, amongst many others, as well as obviously linking to icons.
