Manolas- mano problems

It is always weird when something seems fantastic and good but finally ends up as an unwanted matter. I was expecting decent play from this player and I considered him as an ideal partner to Benatia. I was counting on his pace, which could fix my mistakes. Unfortunately, all of it was mistake. He really did not manage.

It is a specific example when player is fairly good as an individual entity, but not only does not he fit to the team or group but also he destroy the overall results of other players. However this situation is common among players with great stats on paper. Starting with good sides, he is quite good. He is pretty fast and really good at defending 1 on 1. He is also strong and not clumsy. So what is the problem?

The answer is not easy at all, because I do not know certain reason. However, his presence was causing brutal and very serious problems in line of defense. He tended to broke the line of defenders, what provided to huge holes and open spaces, which were straight highways to my goal. Manolas seemed to be handicapped in terms of cooperation with other players. He was so chaotic that some of his great actions were totally overshadowed and difficult to notice.

Finally I had decided to change one the weakest link in my opinion and further results proved that I was right, because the Skriniar who was half price of Manolas at the moment turned out to solve all of my defensive problems.

Summing up this Greek, he is a risky choice. I can imagine that he plays well for many, forasmuch he has some very satisfying abilities, however there are still visibly better players in even better price. So don't be tempted by pace.
